I’ve been using Nutricost electrolyte products for only a few months and have been very happy with them. I read a bunch of reviews and decided this was the best product at its price point for me.
According to the customer service person who responded to my email about a month ago questioning why I was having trouble finding their product for sale on Amazon, they were in the process of “reformulating” their product. Well, looks like the “reformulated” product is now available.
The 120 serving canister, which you can still find on Amazon for around $28, has been replaced by a 60 serving canister for $20. You’ll be paying $40 for two 60 serving canisters instead of the $28 you’ve been paying for the 120 serving size.
* This is a price increase of of over 40%. * FORTY PERCENT! What an ugly money grab on their part. I could stomach a smaller price increase, but one of this size is obscene.
Note that the amount of minerals and the ingredient list is identical between the old and “reformulated” products. So “reformulating” means jacking up the price by 40% while keeping the essentials of the product unchanged.
If you’re a big fan of Nutricost electrolytes, pick up the 120 serving size while it’s still around. Then be prepared to pay 40% more for the smaller quantity “reformulated” product.
I chose Nutricost because, for the price, they had the best product out there. Now that they’re jacked up their prices, I’ll be re-evaluating my electrolyte product when I’ve used up what I’ve got. If they’re charging a premium price, I’ll reconsider the premium products I eschewed for theirs.
What a disappointment. But I guess this is what Capitalism is all about–take as much of my money as you can get away with.

Bought on friends recommendation because I don’t drink enough liquid. Tastes great and works. Feel better all over….more energy and much better digestion.

Like other powdered drink mixes, this is decent right after mixing but tastes even better after being in the refrigerator for a day. I like that it contains magnesium which some others no longer add.

Great tasting electrolyte mix. I use 2 scoops for a half gallon jug and it keeps me hydrated throughout the day. Great price and very effective.

Unlike other brands on Amazon, this electrolyte powder really does have as much powder in it as the listing says (about 1 lbs or just less than 17 oz – in other words, good value) and it actually tastes pretty good. Takes a bit of effort to get it to dissolve completely, but that’s not a big deal for me. I put one spoonful into my 34 oz/1 L water bottle plus a bit of salt (talk to your doctor before you do that) and I’m good to go.
The only ingredient that I don’t like to see is “natural flavors” (who knows what that is?) but the rest are perfectly OK.
