I love k-dramas and saw someone in one of them exercising with a hula hoop. It looked like so much fun that I did some research on line and decide to buy a couple. The one other than this was not weighted. Back to my review of this one. It came in a box in six pieces, was really easy to snap together and the quality is great. It holds together as if it was constructed in one piece. The exterior is rubber not plastic so the texture is really great. It was somewhat painful on my waist and abdomen when I started, but as I’ve used it more I’ve gotten used to it and it’s not painful anymore. I blast the music in my house go outside and hoop away(not recommended if you have close neighbors). Didn’t really imagine it would be as great a work out as it is, was I surprised. With the added weight it seems to me I am getting a really full workout and I have started to see a difference in my ab muscles, and it is really fun and makes me fell like a kid again when I use it. So glad I bought this!

A great hula hoop! Heavy and aggressive but if you follow instructions and slowly build up they amount you do it you’ll be fine. If you just go till you are tired the first time you will definitely have bruises. So be careful but don’t be scared of it. Good bang for your buck. Been going up to 10 minutes without any problems. It’s tones you nicely.

I’ve been using it for about 5 months and have hardly notice any changes. It’s a big hoops hoop and fun at first. After whole it’s pretty uncomfortable. It’s very durable and the quality is good.

I am a personal trainer and this hoop is heavy and big, so make sure this is what you want. It can be a bit painful around the waist while doing it at first (light punching) BUT….I love the workout I get from it.
    A great core workout.
    I am 5’9 135 lbs…..

This Product is as described; easy to assemble and a great work out. It is a fun way to get a good cardio workout, flatten the stomach and loose loose inches of your waist line.

This is not for beginners. The hoop is weighted and if you’re not able to hoola hoop you can hurt yourself especially your breast with this because of the challenge of keep it in rotation around your waist. I had to return it but one day I’ll buy it again once I’m in shape😩

Package was intact, not a lot of junk to get through. Instructions on assembling and some tips on how to use the product is provided on the outside of the box. The product is great, very easy to assemble, took at most a minute to get the parts assembled. I turn on some music and use my hula hoop daily – it’s lots of fun. I’d buy from this retailer seller again.

PS: I find the Hula Hoop to be just the right weight, not to heavy and not feather light where it’s impossible to keep it rotating if either were the case. It’s not uncomfortable at all – the workout is so much fun it doesn’t even feel like a workout. I’m very satisfied with my purchase.

I had heard great things about the weighted hula hoop, and while many reviews suggested to start with a 2 or 3 lb hoop, I purchased the 5 lb hoop (mistake number one). It is recommended to start with 1-3 mins per day for the first week, and gradually increase. But when I first tried it, the hoop felt much lighter than 5 lbs and I hooped for 45 mins straight without stopping (mistake number two). It didn’t hurt at the time, but that night I woke myself up as I was turning over in my sleep because my core so incredibly sore. For the next two days, I couldn’t hoop at all because I was so tender and sore, although no visible bruises. Once the soreness had subsided I was able to hoop for about 20 mins a day with minimal soreness. Now I can hoop for an hour straight without stopping and am not really sore at all the next day. I haven’t seen too much of a difference yet, but I haven’t been that consistent the last few weeks. I would recommend following the instructions that come with the hoop, but it is a great and fun workout and I love that I don’t have to leave my house.

My wife uses this for exercise. She uses it from 10 to 30 minutes at a time with periodic breaks. She originally started with a 3 lb. hoop, but asked me to buy her a heavier hoop. So she’s progressed to this 5 lb. hoop. She still uses the 3 lb. hoop as warm up, but finds the 5 lb. hoop is better for a more complete workout.

Assembly was fairly simple. It took a little elbow grease to get the pieces to fit together properly, but now that it’s assembled, it works great.

It’s also a novelty for family and friends who come to visit. They take turns trying it with lots of laughs. One family member, who is very physically fit, found it to be a challenging core workout. Keeping the 5 lb. hoop in suspension for 10 minutes or more is definitely a workout.

It is a lot bigger than you expect. I live in a small condo, and there isn’t enough space to be able to get it going. But the weight is good, as is the quality.

I have 2 of these (1 the largest 5L and one lighter, smaller 4L) and they work great!! These are the best brand and are durable. I only use the largest size now and I wear 10 lbs weights on each leg and 5lbs on each arm and dance around a bit while hooping to fast deep beat music. I get a great core and cardio workout. Hooping to music takes a while to learn but it sure is a fun different workout.
FYI When you first start the ridges hurt a bit but in no time they actually feel good and maybe burn away some waist fat.
