I’ve been hooping for well over a decade, and due to currently living off-grid in a tiny home, I prefer “travel” style hoops. This one is easy enough to assemble and disassemble, reminds me a bit of my Hoopnotica travel hoop from way back when, except that this one is a bit more fiddly due to the foam.

It is definitely weighted! I’m used to using ridiculously large, very heavy hoops (I’ve made “weighted hoops” before as well as speed hoops), so I’m able to use all the segments without worrying about injury. For anyone who isn’t very experienced with hooping with various hoops, you may want to start smaller and only hoop for a few minutes at a time until you condition your body and coordination to work your way up.

Comes with cute pink fabric tape measure. I was hoping this would come with a travel/storage bag, but it does not.

I’ve always been a pretty great hula hooper. I can’t do crazy tricks, but I can go for hours at a time. I always liked how such an easy (and enjoyable) activity for me slimmed my waist down quick. Granted I was younger, but exercise is excersize…right? When I saw this, I knew I had to give it a try and see if I could slim down quick again.

This took a bit to arrive, but was well worth the weight. A really sturdy, cool looking black box opens to reveal the colorful hoop pieces, neatly organized (not just tossed in). Also included in the box was a tape measure and resistance band. Both are pretty basic, but I appreciate that they are there and DO come in handy. There is also an information card and thank you note. Unboxing and presentation is pretty stellar and I feel like this would make an excellent gift to give or recieve.

Each of the 8 colorful pieces is 15.25″ long and about 1.75″ in diameter. They are all covered in a different color padded/ foam material (the nice, thick, padded stuff- not cheap foam that rips or deteriorates easy). The padding covers each piece generously so there are no gaps in the hoop when it’s together. The pieces click together very easy and stay connected well. You can arrange the colors/pieces in any pattern you want. When the hoop is together (which takes less than 2 minutes), it is a very generous size- 38″ in diameter.

Just as easy as this is assembled, it comes apart. There are markings on the padding which show exactly where to push each section to disengage them from one another. It takes me just 2 minutes to get this apart. While the box is good looking and excellent for storage, I do wish they included a carrying bag for the pieces, making it easier for travel than hauling around the whole box. I ended up making an easy, drawstring bag myself.

The info card states that it’s possible you may need to ‘get used to’ the hoop and it’s weight, but I didn’t have a single issue. I actually think heavier hoops are easier to use, but ill admit I’ve never used one that was this heavy.

I love how the hoop doesn’t make any noise (like that terrible marble sound in kids hoops), so this is a completely silent exercise. It’s great because I can use it while watching TV or even on a call and not be distributed at all.

Now, this IS heavy and despite the nice, cushy padding, it does push against the body quite a bit…especially after several minutes of use. I had to start with just 7 minutes of time and gradually work my way up because there was a bit of pain in the beginning. I also bruise really easy, and I did develop some slight brushing around my waist, but nothing that looked awful or was concerning.

It’s been just 3 weeks and I’ve already dropped 1″ on my waist! I’m only using it every other day and I used it for less than 10 minutes each time the first week. Yes, it takes some time to get used to, but this is, without a doupt, an incredibly effective way to loose inches and get exercise!

I LOVE this hoop and I recommend it 110%!
I do have to admit though that this isn’t going to be for everyone. You do need to be a little bit tough, due to the weight.

I love fitness and I remember when I was young I loved to hula hoop so I got this Fiteroc hula hoop to try out. It comes in 9 pieces (each a different color) that are easy to assemble, a stretch band, a retractable tap, to measure your BMI, and instructions.
So I haven’t hula hooped in over 15 years and It is a little challenging to get started. Just spending 10 min or less each day, getting use to trying to hula, gave me a good workout especially in my upper abdomen. I have only had it for a week and I can finally hula hoop again! It does not take a lot of time each day I would say less than 10 minutes but they recommend 10 min a day.
I do want to mention that you can get sore from the hula hoop where it feels like your abdomen is slightly bruised but I have not seen any bruising but am sore as if I was. They say this is normal when starting out however I think it’s because I had trouble relearning how to hula with a 2 pound hoop.
Their is only one size as in the pictures I thought you could make it two different sizes for two levels of workout. It is heavy to hula so you need to start out slow and work as little or long as your body feels. Listen to your body!
The hula hoop is very colorful and is constructed very well. Its also fun and doesn’t fill like a workout, until the next day!
I am happy with my perchance, it did take longer than expected to arrive but it was worth the wait.
I think it would have been even better if I did not have to relearn how to hula, I recommend getting a lighter one first till you get the feel for it but that’s just me. I am stubborn so I just went for it.
Would perchance again or would be a great gift for friends and family.
Designed for adults who are not pregnant and not for kids.

It puts together quickly and easy to learn. Makes you sweat.

  5. Zero

I’m ramping up my fitness in my 50s and wanted to get a grown up hula hoop for indoor exercise, this looked like it would work, doesn’t for me. The material is nice, the foam cushioning on the outside is soft but sturdy, colors are nice. BUT it’s heavy and VERY HARD to get it to stay up unless you’re really cranking yourself around!! Ok so my core isn’t strong but if it falls down after 2 seconds I’m not going to be able to work ot out! I guess I didn’t understand how or who these weighted hoops work for. Not me.

AND it’s a little hard to clip the pieces together. You have to hold down the tab while shoving them together. Worse is taking it apart. I tried to push through the foam as they recommended but nope, had to pull back the covering and push the plastic tab itself (quite firmly). If you have any dexterity or strength issues in your hands or fingers I’d avoid this (I’m hypermobile so that made it harder). And if you’re wanting a starter hoop look elsewhere.
