- Unlike traditional foam rollers, the CARBON’s extra firm and high-profiled nodules go deep into connective tissue to treat sore muscles that hinder mobility
- Flat surface between the high-profiled nodules provides room for soft tissue displacement and manipulation enhancing the flow of nutrients
- For maximum results, use the CARBON Roller before and after physical activity; recommended for experienced users with very dense muscle tissue
- Measures 13 inches x 55 inches and weighs 19 pounds; backed by one-year limited warranty

Like a few other reviewers have mentioned, I also get black and blue marks on the sides of my thighs when I use this in those areas. I do not recommend using this anywhere where you don’t have thick muscles to cushion it. I use this on my calves, front/back of thighs, and glutes. Nowhere else.

Para los que llevamos un tiempo con los típicos foam roller y buscamos más intensidad, es perfecto. Tiene buena pinta y parece duradero. Ya veremos.

I first tried this roller at a gym when I was on vacation. I had been having trouble with some knee pain, and rolling my upper leg seemed to help. When I got home, I ordered my own. This is a harder material, not “comfy” foam, so it gets deep, which I prefer. Now I use it for every leg day! I am also less sore and less tight after using it to roll on my back.

For athletes looking for that extra trigger point while foam rolling – this is it! It hurts at all the right spots. I have a regular older version of TriggerPoint foam roller and I use that as first touch, then move on to the Carbon Deep Tissue roller. No Regrets! worth every penny.

Exactly what I was looking for-not too intense but more then a flat roller.

This is really great for muscle relax. It is better than regular one

I bought this because my aging knees sometimes hurt. A couple of people said it’s because my IT band is tight. I know jack squat about anatomy, but ok. I started rolling my IT band (outside of each thigh) using softer rollers. This can hurt, but you can get through it if you know how to relax your muscles and breathe through the pain. In time, it gets a lot easier. Then a trainer at my gym recommended trying their green trigger point roller, which is not like this one. She was like, “If you dare!” So I dared, and it was even better. Then my problem got worse, and my massage therapist poked into my IT band with her jackhammer fingers. That helped a little bit. She then told me to roll my IT band 3 times per day for the rest of my life. I figured I needed my own version of that green Trigger Point roller at home. But then I saw this wicked looking black and red thing that Trigger Point sells, and I’m like, “Yeah, that’s the one. I can handle THAT!” So it arrives pretty quickly (Amazon Prime), and I go to work on it the same day – 10 reps each thigh. Holy cow, that hurt. BUT, my knee pain disappeared. Over the next week, my thighs turned yellow from bruising and felt kind of tender, but my knees were fine. I haven’t used it in a few weeks, but my knees are still great. So, drawing upon what physical and massage therapists told me, I think this roller scrambled the crap out of the myofascia in my thighs and restored normal function to my knees. I’ll do it again in a heartbeat if my knees act up again.

Very good quality and firm roller. Great for calves and quads. Recommended.

Don’t get the smooth surface one. This is the one you want and really does your back good. A little hard to get used to at first, it hurts! LOL but you keep using and you’ll notice a difference and I use it almost everyday

I wish the bumps on it were harder, still more firm then the standard version. Overall satisfying but they need a tougher more intense one.

I’m 5’8, 185lbs with an athletic build. Workout 3 times a week and play sports. I love this foam roller. I need rollers that are very firm/hard because I can actually feel my muscles getting massaged and relaxing. So if you’re like me then this is perfect for ya.

This is a more aggressive foam roller that is a completely different kind of foam rolling tool when compared to the basic rounded ones. Does it feel like I have spikes going into my back when using it? Not really. However, I am lean and perhaps if you aren’t take that into consideration, respectfully. With that being said, I can see buyers getting both types of rollers for two different reasons.
Overall, I’m really glad I purchased this one over a regular rounded foam roller. This was the right purchase. Plus, you can’t ever go wrong with the brand, TriggerPoint.
