Adjustable and easy to put on. Much better than the one it replaced for me – that one constantly slid down my leg, this one stays exactly where I need it.

Last year I was told I needed total knee joint replacement, but the surgeon said he could not help my joint stability due to laxity. Actually both knees have worn out on the outer portion of the joints. I also have a Baker’s Cyst complicated with peudo-gout in the right knee. The thin needle like pseudo-gout crystals in my solovial fluid makes every wobble in my step excrutiating. I tried many different styles of knee braces and learned if anything rubs against the bend in my knee the Baker’s cyst gets more inflammed. If any hard parts of any brace touches bony or soft tissues in my knee it swells and hurts even more. When I tried on the Tommie Copper Pro-Grade Compression Sleeve Unisex Small Black knee brace I felt support with comfort for the first time in over a year. The difference is with how the Tommie Copper Pro-Crade Compression Sleeve has two straps that cross over under the front of my knee cap then wrap around the sides of the knee joint to provide compressed support without any hard or scratchy-bulky velcro, foam, or metal stays. It has the smoothest softest velcro imaginable. This compression sleeve is more supportive than other simple elastic sleeves because the straps are permanently sewn in the just the right places on the sleeve. As long as you measure correctly, wrap around the front so straps cross each other under the knee cap and lay flat on top of one another, you should get proper support. The package reminds you of this position tip. Wrap the straps so one strap lays flay with its velcro on half the velcro fastening soft plush pad which rests flat facing up above the knee cap while the other strap lays on the other half of the plush pad. Be sure everything is smoothed out so no wrinkles can restrict blood flow or cause swelling. Believe me, you will have superior comfort and knee support like no other brace provides. I don’t think my pain relief has anything to do with copper infused in the material it is made from though. I think my pain is better because it gives the right compression applied in the correct tension to the areas of my knee that need support. My knee measures 14 inches per the chart so I ordered two identical braces in size small. I wash mine in cool water with mild laundry soap and air dry. The only issue I have had is skin irritation from the silicone band which is a wider solid silicone strip. My second brace included a sticker warning it might cause irritation from the silicone Most sleeves have thin squiggly lines of silicone that do not cause me skin irritation like this one does. My solution was to buy 4-5 inch stockinette roll tubing (sold here on Amazon with bandages) and to cut the tube stockinette into sections slightly longer than the brace. I put on the stockinette and then slid the brace over it. Some might find it easier to put the tube inside the brace and slide the two together onto the leg as one unit. Either way, it puts a barrier between my skin and whatever my skin is sensitive to that makes up the brace. I sent a question asking for suggestions to deal with silicone sensitivity to the Tommie Copper Store here at Amazon. I was hoping to get a reply from the Tommie Copper reps since only one of the two identical braces was irritating my skin. Unfortunately I did not receive a reply. I mention this because I find lack of customer support a huge ding against any company. When I got no response, I read online that Tommie Copper Company paid a settlement for false claims of health benefits expected from wearing the copper infused fibers in their products. Not sure if that is why they ignore customer questions, but serms like it’s all the more reason to offer excellent customer support. Tommie Copper is still a great company because of the unique design features of their products. I hope they never change the design of the Pro-Grade Compresdion Sleeve with straps because it works like a miracle on my knee. I will continue to buy more just like these two
when they wear out. It’s bound to happen sometime since I wear one daily.

This thing is great and adds a great deal of confidence and support. I highly recommend it.

  6. Kim W. Hubert

I hoped since this has straps that wrap around it would be more supportive but it’s a very thin material. Doesn’t do anything for the support or degree of pain I have currently.

  7. Paul

These are great for my knee, but the elastic stretches after a month or two.

  8. Beng

Velcro is wearing out already and there .1 month old

  9. John Bridges

The knee sleeve kept slipping down my leg, did not want to makeit too thight to were it would cut the blood flow off.
