This is the same band I was given by my PT. I use this band and color (strength) for neck and upper back/shoulder exercises recommended years ago.

I started using bands during therapy for rotorcuff surgery about 10 years ago. I believe the brand being using in the therapy center was theraband. The therapy center gave me a band to take home to continue rehab after I had met therapy goals and have been using them off and on since. I started with the lower band strengths and worked my way up to black and recently have started to incorporate silver in my workout routines. I know I have purchased at least 2 boxes of the black and one of the silver. A box contains an 18 foot length of band. For my purposes I cut them into 3 6-foot lengths. I use the bands for upper body strength training (arms, shoulders, back). I am not looking for bulk but rather for maintaining strength and flexibility with an emphasis on flexibility. I have used weights and high-faluting machines in the past but find the band exercises suit my purposes just fine. (I am in my seventies and just trying to hang on to what I’ve got!)

The one and only reason I gave a 4 star rating rather than a 5 star is: Bands break!!! And when they break you must always be prepared for that event. This is NOT a defect in the Theraband brand it is one of the risks in using bands. Probably a good idea to check your bands for wear and tear and replace them before they break. With that in mind I use them until they break. Keeps you ‘on your toes’ when working out!!!

Good quality resistance band. Plenty of length on the roll

  4. Deeksha

    Good quality, value for money.

For many years I used to buy single 1m lengths. I’ve done this several times over the years. Then my friend told me I should just buy a roll. I did just that and the per metre cost is lower than buying an individual metre length of this. This should last me for many years to come and at £10, I saved myself £10 or so too! Excelleng value for money!

These are the genuine Theraband product prescribed by physical therapists everywhere. I was worried at first after reading some reviews that they were knockoffs that break easily, sometimes after one use. But after using them for one month I can tell you they are sturdy and durable.

The best explanation I can offer for the reports of breakage is that the users do not know the function of the product. This is not your old-style Charles Atlas steel spring strength training product. It is intended for use in a specified way on an isolated muscle or muscle group, often for rehabilitation after injury. If people are using it to see how hard, or how fast, they can pull, that is not the intended purpose. I suppose that’s why the label the box “CAUTION: For Professional Use Only,” repeated in four languages.

One warning is that they don’t last forever. When I got a new injury, I dug into a cabinet for a set of bands I had from a previous visit to a physical therapist 5 or so years ago. The bands were dried out and broke on first use. This is just the nature of latex, an organic tree product. These were just single bands that my therapist had cut for me from her roll. I expect the bands in the packaged roll to last longer, as they are treated with talcum powder to preserve them.

    High quality

  8. Joe Jones

This is the same brand of exercise band used by licensed physical therapists. They worked well easy to adjust well-made but under tension at a certain point because of some inherent weakness to the material they do break.

  9. sharon

Estira mucho y no se rompe

  10. layla

  11. Crystal Dillinger

Multiple use for these bands and they are easy to use for therapy or working out.

  12. MARSHALL

A superb low-impact, cost-efficient alternative to free weights or universal systems that produces equivalent results!

  13. Jane Westra

These are worth the extra money because they do not snap and break as quickly as the cheaper ones.
