  1. Amazon Customer

Got the 200lb set, seems like a very reasonable price after lots of looking. Originally was trying to order a Cap set, but was denied saying couldn’t ship, same weight, who knows. Anyway blessing in disguise, because this set saved me about 50 bucks for the same weight and it’s decent. But like I said watch out for some sharp edges here and there. I will probably wear gloves while using.. maybe even take a metal file to a couple spots.

Update 2, 1 year later: The replacement handle and second original handle have held up fine, despite almost daily use.
I could not be any happier with these weights or with the seller’s customer service. Outstanding product and outstanding support from the seller!

Update: About 3-4 weeks after receiving these dumbbells, I did run into a problem with them, which I suspect was the occasional mfg. defect (it happens). The seller was *outstanding* on resolving the issue. I’m even more impressed with the seller and the product than I was previously. Top-notch service and support — highly recommended!

I recently ordered the 200lb pair of Telk adjustable dumbbells, and couldn’t be happier. I have been working out with these dumbbells almost every morning since they arrived, and they are perfect for my exercise routine. Need light weights for lateral raises? No problem. Spin the collar off and remove a few plates. Need some heavier weights for dumbbell squats or deadlifts? Add a few plates. Something in between for bicep curls, skull-crushers or DB bench presses? No problem. You can adjust the weight in 5lb increments, so it’s never a problem dialing in the right weight.

Some reviews I had read about other adjustable DBs mentioned that the knurling on the grips was too sharp to be comfortable. These DBs are machined really well. Although I’m usually wearing gloves when I lift, I have worked out with these DBs bare-handed, and had no problems.

Some reviews on a competing brand mentioned that the collars would get loose in the middle of a set. The collars on these DBs have remained tight during every workout so far.

    And, shipping was *really* fast.

In short, if you’re looking for a good set of adjustable dumbbells that won’t break the bank, but won’t be a waste of money either, you really should consider these. There may be cheaper options, but as far as I can tell, these seem to be the best value.

200lb set purchased, and arrived in 4 boxes via USPS. Another reviewer expressed dissatisfaction with receiving 1 tracking number, but that is on Amazon. If you have USPS Informed Delivery (free) you do in fact get 4 tracking numbers. The order shipped from North Carolina where Helene recovery efforts are affecting everything, but these were still delivered ahead of schedule and actually shipped the day of order.

The weights themselves are standard plates you would expect from any manufacturer of weights – certainly on par with CAP. Any complaints about small imperfections should realize there are meant for weightlifting, not dinner plates.

Great purchase, and will consider the brand going forward to expand capacity. Weights pictured include a CAP 1″ opening stand which was purchased separately.

I purchased the 105 pound set. I bought these ring locks because they are cheaper than other systems (like powerblock or nuobell).

Versatility-5 stars: Adjusts in 2.5 lb increments from 5lb to 52.5 lb, with an option to increase by 1.25 lb if you don’t mind them out of balance. The bars feel a bit long, but not bulky like the bowflex adjustable dumbbells (which I’ve previously owned).

Value for Money-5 stars: These feel solid, look clean/sharp, and have a good feel in the hand. Ring locks spin on relatively easy but feel snug. The enamel plated iron looks like it will hold up well to wear.

Ease of use-3 stars: Switching weights does take a couple minutes, especially using lighter weights. You’ve got to spin 4 locks on and off and that does take some time. If time is an issue, you might want to try another system, like powerblocks, which are several hundred dollars more. I mostly do bodyweight exercises (pushups/pullups/squats) and bought these to do isolation exercises at lighter loads. Since I don’t need to go too heavy, I have a lot more plates with this kit than I need. So I’ve purchased some inexpensive dumbbell bars from yes4All ($15 for 2 at time of review) so I can load up some other weights so I don’t have to change them so often.

Some other notes: Shipping (to CA) was a week faster than estimated. Weights are incredibly well packaged. My only complaint was one of the 1.25 lb weights has a rust spot on it (see picture). Not big enough of an issue to return, but I did contact the seller, ProtTEK. They didn’t have 1.25lb weight replacements, but they sent me a set of two 2.5lb plates for free–which will allow me to load up another bar in 2.5 or 5lb increments–so I’m very satisfied. These are very space efficient as well; I live in an apartment and keep all my fitness gear in an old wooden standard wine bottle crate. The crate holds the entire set, a roll up mat & a pullup bar (both standing vertically), and a standard draw string fitness bag.

Overall, if you are looking for quick/efficient dumbbell changes and money is not an issue, I would consider looking at other options. But this set is high quality, durable, and won’t break the bank. Even without the fantastic customer service from ProTEK, I’d rate these 5 stars.

I love this set. It is easy to adjust and the plates are excellent quality. Customer service is top notch.
