Both of us work at home with sedentary jobs, and our bodies were really starting to show it. We got this stepper for our home office because of the small footprint, low price point and good reviews, and it did not disappoint! My husband assembled it in around 10 minutes and I didn’t hear any cussing, so it must have been pretty straightforward. The machine is sturdy but lightweight enough for me, a not-so-robust senior woman, to move from room to room. It fits perfectly in the corner of our small office. I have weak knees so I was not sure I could handle a stepper, but this one is awesome. The motion is smooth and gentle on my knees, and the machine is very quiet too, which is important for an office. The step counter is a nice feature that keeps me motivated. After only one afternoon of hopping on it a couple of times, I am feeling the burn in my legs and core. I think we’re going to get a lot of good use out of it and we recommend it for its value and construction.

Purchased one for my 82 yr old mom. Worked great for overall mobility, balance and cardio. So good that I purchased a second one for my senior uncle out of state. He needed a little help with assembling as the handlebar screws have little to no play in them. (I suggest watching the assembly video and starting all the screws before tightening) This adds to the overall stability and the assembly time was still under an hour. Twisting motion took a little getting used to (both said they could feel it in their hips and knees for the first week). Only con is no tension adjustment. Great news is my Mom doesn’t need her cane as much and can go up several flights of stairs with no problem. 3 months and going.

Highly recommended if you’re someone tight on space and this provides a surprising amount of resistance.
It came nearly assembled and I was working out with it the next 10 minutes after opening the box. Was looking for something exactly like this! It is sturdy and I never feel like i’m going to lose my balance not using the handles, making me engage my core. Great for hopping on and off if you want to burn some quick calories if you have free time in between tasks/chores. I’ve used this thing at least an hour a day since I got it a week ago and I could not be happier. I know my knees and ankles are thanking me
It is a fantastic value for the standard selling price but an absolute no brainer if you can get it on sale

This is the most amazing little stepper machine. Manual instructions never make sense to me, but once I figured out where all the bolts went it was a breeze to assemble. I’m about 135 pounds/5’8″ tall and this machine has no problem remaining sturdy with about a 10 minute workout. I need core exercise or I suffer from sciatica real bad. I’ve only been using this stepper for a few days and already it has strengthened my lower back, and even sorted out a recurring issue I’ve had with my right knee for over 30 years. It does a great job tightening the muscles and is easy to use. I think with the “twisting” motion it somehow realigns the skeletal system, aiding in reducing aches and pains. I’d highly recommend this stepper to anyone who’s been thinking about it, but not sure if they should spend the money on it or not. Worst case scenario, return it. Otherwise I think most people will be very happy with this equipment.

Based on reviews from several sites, I chose this stair stepper because I wanted the most low-cost, basic, simple, entry-level machine. After a few days, I’d say it fits the bill. While it doesn’t have adjustable tension per se, the adjustment of the stair height acts in that capacity. It seems sturdy, although when you are NOT standing on it, be careful to not let it fall forward. The lateral motion is easy to get used to. Not sure if there is a scientific reason for it, but it feels reasonably natural. The counter does what you would expect: time, steps, calories.
I’m overall satisfied but there is a CAVEAT that you won’t learn about until you purchase the machine. It’s not in the description, and it’s not in the reviews at other sites: per the instructions, it can only be used for 15 minutes at a time, with a 30 minute rest period between uses. This is so the hydraulics don’t burn out. Admittedly, there’s no way I could go for longer than 15 minutes right now, but it’s a bit cheesy that this issues isn’t prominently mentioned. There are two of us, and we had hoped to use the machine sequentially, but now person #2 has to wait 30 minutes before it can be used again. So, this lowers the functionality score to 4 stars.
On the surprisingly plus side is the assembly. Being made in China, this product was likely to come with the usual gibberish English that makes no sense. But no! The instructions are actually clear and easy to follow, with good labelling and all the parts necessary (also labelled). The company gets 5 stars for clarity.
I will update this review after the machine has been in use to comment on durability and long-term performance.
