Love it. Made by Marcy and looks like thier higher end products. It’s lower than I expected but comfortable width makes up for it. The tubing, welds, design are definitely worth it.

Sturdy, well-built, and solid weight bench rated for 600 lbs with rollers that engage to move from one area to another. Easy to assembly–just 10 bolts. Bronze finish fits home interior. Excellent all the way around.

Here’s what I like . It’s very sturdy – I would trust this bench under very heavy loads and not worry about it at all. it has zero wobble while your on it.
The incline works well and it’s simple with nothing to break.
Wheels on the rear make it very simple to move around.
What I don’t like is one thing and that’s the material that covers the seat. It’s really more like a heavy canvas or cloth type material. Impossible to wipe sweat off so I’ve been using a towel over it to help stop that issue. The padding is also quite stiff compared to the ones at my old gym. After I’ve had this a while I’ll more than likely try to find a replacement set.
Overall I do like this bench but think I would search around if I had a choice and if there were actually any benches for sale during this corona virus craze. I had no choice and I was just happy to actually get a bench for my home gym.

After using FID benches for years, I decided to move to a flat bench. The first one I got was okay, but after a couple years, I wanted something that had a wider pad. I bought one that we returned, and the same night we returned it, I ordered this one, the Steelbody Deluxe Versatile Rated 800 lbs Flat Utility Workout Bench.
I’ll be honest. I’ve owned a few pieces of Marcy fitness equipment, and they’re okay considering price and size, but when I saw that Steelbody ws an Impex/Marcy brand, I had a moment of concern. Still, the reviews were enthusiastic, and the bench looked like exactly what I was looking for, so I thought “Why not?”
This bench ticked every box on my list. Our workout area isn’t large, so we wanted something not too long, and the pad on this bench is 43″, but it’s wider than most, which I very much prefer. And it’s wider on one end than the other, which makes it more versatile. The pad is firm but has some give on the top, and the cover is fairly thick with some texture. Everything metal is strong and sturdy, and the rubber feet stick to our hardwood floor well. The handle is also well-placed and the wheels work well. And it was easy to build. It has no smell of any kind.
In fact, so far this Steelbody Deluxe Flat Utility Workout Bench is exactly what I was looking for. It’s comfortable, sturdy and stable, and it’s easy to roll to a corner, closet or the side of the room. One side of the pad is 12″ wide, the other is 15″ wide, and that leads me to one more thing I really appreciate – the description and measurements of the bench are accurate. This is a big thing, as most benches I’ve tried make inaccurate claims, exaggerate or leave things out of their descriptions.
I’ve been through a number of benches, mostly more expensive than this one, but this one really delivers on what I was looking for. For those looking for a wider flat bench that’s sturdy, stable, comfortable and reasonably priced, this is one I’d recommend.

I bought this gym bench since I wanted a cheap alternative for nordic curl. Overall, I like the steel-based frame. But the base of the padding that serves as an interface between the padding the frame did not seem to be strong. I felt that the ones in a standard gym is better.

I looked at the parts manual and almost sent it back! However, assembly was very simple because most of it was done already. It took less than an hour start to finish. The bench is very sturdy with no wobble

Es resistente, cómoda fácil de armar.
Problem-Solution –
I’ve tried many of benches, some costing over $500, some as less than $70. I like what I like and this bench does it all almost perfectly. First, I like smaller, lower benches. I’m 6’1″ and this bench fits fine. It’s low – perfect for benching and helps make it more stable. Speaking of stable, this is a beast – no wobble at all, zero. I hate when benches do that, this doesn’t at all. Next, is the weight capacity. I’m 230lb and bench about that. No chinzy 400lb bench will cut it. This has an 800lb weight capacity- way more than I’ll reach. I also like wheels, but the wheels need to be under the bench, not protruding beyond the bench (it gets in the way of the cage). These wheels are perfect. Again, the ladder back adjustable benches are so much better than the other styles – simple and stable. The only 2 things I have issues with this bench are the gap between the seat and back pad is on the large side. I’m fine with it, I just stick a cut pool noodle in the gap and don’t feel a thing. Second, it’s Steelbody and their use of brown paint. Why brown of all colors? Just use all black or some other colors like red or blue.
Next, this bench is better than the Power Block FID bench that costs more (it wobbles and it too thin for benching). It’s better than almost all the Bowflex benches (higher weight capacity, more stable and smaller). I dare say this compares to the Rep adjustable bench that costs a lot more). Overall, I would highly recommend this bench to any lifter. It’s a great product at a great price. FYI, I currently use it in my Rogue S-2 stand and Titan T-3 rack. No issues.

I’ve been to gyms that didn’t have a bench this nice. Easy to adjust, feels very sturdy, and certainly looks the part of a nice bench. The material is easy to wipe off after a workout. For this price point you are getting a bench that will last.

40 years ago, I retired from the CAF, I was determined to maintain an high level of physical fitness.
I equipped my basement with weight lifting equipment “BodySmith” and absolutely no issues with my choice.
Recently, I developed différant exercises and needed a strong bench. I looked everywhere and after seeing and trying this bench in a “fitness supply store (priced $419.99) I could not resist at the offering on Amazon.
I have been using this bench for the past weeks and love it. I am 5’11’’ and found the bench back size very adequate for my back. I am not worry about working with heavy weights since the bench is very stable, sturdy and fast & simple to operate.
I did a little modification to allow me to set it up right and out of the way. (c pic’s above) a small 90* bracket and a 1/4” hole with a pin. Simple and works well.
Absolutely no regret, and at a good price…

I spent a lot of time researching what bench would fulfill my needs, and this surpasses every bench in its price range. It was easy to assemble and the welds and hardware are durable enough that I only need to concentrate on the weight I’m lifting rather than my bench collapsing. I am a 185lb man and have bench pressed 205lbs and the bench felt very secure. I also do pullovers laying across the bench horizontally, and there is no wobble like on a cheaper bench. If you are a larger person and bench pressing 300+ lbs then you are going to want something more professional in quality, but for a home gym with light to moderate weights this will be enough for most people.
