Bought these as an upgrade/replacement for a set of Anker Life Neo 2. Just wanted newer better sounding cans; didn’t want ANC but couldn’t avoid it and also stick with the brand. My son is very picky and really liked the Neo. So far I am impressed. I didn’t like the Neo but the Life Q30 is much nicer. More compact and feels very premium!! The only complaint is the included charge cord – it’s an honest 3″ long – nearly unusable. Not sure why they would do that. They are very comfortable and do a great job of sound isolation even without turning them on. The included carry case is compact yet protective. I become a bigger fan of Anker with every device I try!

Après avoir hésité entre plusieurs modèles et pris le temps de comparer, je suis très content de mon choix avec ce casque. Il est léger, confortable et agréable à porter, même pendant de longues sessions. Les coussinets sont doux, et mes oreilles ne sont jamais gênées, ce qui est un vrai plus pour moi.
Le son est impressionnant pour ce prix, avec des basses bien définies et un son clair. La réduction de bruit, bien que non parfaite, est efficace et crée une véritable bulle sonore. Je ne m’attendais pas à une telle performance de ce casque, surtout à ce prix.
Le mode transparence est un ajout génial pour pouvoir entendre ce qui se passe autour quand on est à l’extérieur sans retirer le casque, idéal pour les déplacements. Le micro est également très bon pour les appels.
Enfin, le casque vient avec une pochette rigide pour le protéger, ce qui est un vrai bonus, surtout à ce prix. Il semble un peu fragile à cause de sa couleur claire, mais il fait son job sans souci.
Je suis vraiment satisfait de mon achat, il offre un excellent rapport qualité-prix. Je le recommande sans hésiter !

Some good things, some not so great.
The good. The active noise cancellation is fantastic. They are very comfortable to wear for extended periods and amazing battery life.
The not so good. The passive mode (I forget exactly what its called but where you can hear background noise, lets call it anti noise cancelling) is VERY noisy. I get it, you want to make the sounds around you louder. But sitting in a room with nothing on, it still sounds like I’m in a wind tunnel. The dual mode connection is hit and miss. I specifically got these because of this feature. I am often on gaming on my computer and won’t hear my phone ring or text notifications. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t. Even though I connect it to both devices.
There is something wonky with the bluetooth as well when connecting to a computer. My old skullcandy Hesh, and some super cheap headphones I had bought off amazon ages ago I could go into bluetooth settings and turn off “hands free telephony” to get better sound quality out of them. With these I have to do that EVERY SINGLE TIME I connect to my PC. Granted the stock sound is better than the old headphones with the telephony enabled. But the sound quality with it disabled is even better. I’ve gotten to the point that I’m tired of turning it off and just leave it on.
Now the worse. I bought these December of 2023, it’s now mid July, and the ear cushion is starting to split. Hands down the fastest I’ve ever had this happen with a set of headphones like this. My old SkullCandy Hesh lasted 4 years before this happened. At the rate its starting to mess up, I’ll be lucky if they last till the end of the year. And looking at them I don’t know if I’ll be able to replace the cushion. So they’ll be in the trash heap once that happens.
Update: Anker reached out to me about my issues. I followed their trouble shooting requests and there was no joy. Also sent over a photo of the ear cup tear. They sent a replacement free of charge, and I tested it out. Unfortunately, the bluetooth issues I had mentioned before persisted. So for MY use it’s not the best match. However using them just on my phone and Ipad, no problems at all. Using them with PC there are extra steps involved to get the best sound quality. Both on my home build using asus bluetooth and mobo, and my lenovo laptop, so its not just a brand specific issue.
BUT the customer service was great. Reached out quickly set up the replacement and I received it faster than things I ordered on Prime Day. And no they did not ask me to update the review, I can screenshot the emails. But I love a company that will stand by their product.

So, basically, the Q20 is amazingly cheap and works extremely well. But, I got the chance to select a Christmas present and I chose the Q30 as an upgrade. I was totally happy with the Q20 and it works very well. Would the Q30 be worth 40% more in price? One thing on the plus side was a $15 off coupon. Okay, so, the price is just about negligible.
Blown away by the upgrade? …no. Having an EQ is nice and the app EQ is accurate so, plus 1. The sound quality, as in music fidelity, is “slightly better” and I mean, slightly. If the scale is 100 then Q20 is 93 and Q30 is 95. I was expecting to be blown away by much better noise cancellation and, honestly? It’s not bad but, I think the Q20 has better NC and it being on is more obvious.
Comfort is EXACTLY the same. Build is heavier and more sturdy in the Q30. I find the adjustment determination on the headset of the Q30 to stay put much better, and this, I enjoy. I mostly use my headset to learn Spanish so, the voice must be exceptional clear. With the Podcast EQ on, I get better performance on the Q30, yes. So, was it worth the extra money with the discount? YES! Very much. What if I paid full retail? I’d feel more 3–4 stars about that. If money isn’t the determination for you, go with the Q30.

Estaba buscando unos audífonos inalámbricos que fueran cómodos, con buena calidad de sonido y, sobre todo, que tuvieran cancelación activa de ruido, y los Soundcore Anker Life Q30 han cumplido con todo lo que esperaba y más.
Primero, la cancelación activa de ruido es impresionante. Puedes elegir entre tres modos: transporte, exterior e interior, lo cual es muy útil dependiendo de dónde estés. He usado estos audífonos en el tren y en la calle, y realmente hace una gran diferencia al bloquear ruidos molestos. Puedes sumergirte completamente en tu música o podcast sin distracciones.
En cuanto al sonido, me ha sorprendido lo bien equilibrado que está. Los graves son profundos, sin que los agudos o medios se pierdan, lo que proporciona una experiencia auditiva rica y clara. La alta resolución del sonido realmente se nota, especialmente cuando escuchas música de calidad o contenido con detalles finos.
La comodidad es otro gran punto. Las almohadillas son suaves y acolchonadas, lo que hace que pueda usarlos por varias horas sin sentir incomodidad. Además, la diadema se ajusta bien y se adapta a la cabeza sin apretar demasiado, lo que es ideal para sesiones largas.
La batería es increíble. Con 40 horas de reproducción, casi olvido que tengo que cargarlos. Y si te quedas sin batería, la función de carga rápida te da 4 horas de reproducción con solo 5 minutos de carga, lo cual es muy conveniente cuando tienes prisa.
Mi único pero es que, si bien son bastante ligeros, al principio pueden sentirse un poco grandes si tienes una cabeza más pequeña. Pero es algo a lo que me acostumbré después de unos minutos.
En resumen, los Soundcore Anker Life Q30 son unos de los mejores audífonos inalámbricos en este rango de precio. Tienen una gran cancelación de ruido, una calidad de sonido excelente y una comodidad que permite usarlos todo el día. Si buscas una experiencia premium sin romper el banco, estos audífonos son una excelente elección. ¡Altamente recomendados!

UNBOXING / PRODUCT – 9/10
Opening the box, I was impressed with packaging and initial impressions of quality. Headphones felt solid and of good quality materials. Connecting to a new device is very straightforward (press and hold power button for +3 seconds). Controls on the sides of the headphones make it easy to adjust volume quickly, as well as noise cancellation functionality. There is a nice touch where if you press and hold on the logo on the right-side headphone it will go into ‘transparency’ mode, which brings outside noise into the headphones. This is helpful if you’re in noise cancellation mode and a coworker stops by to chat, you can quickly and easily duck in and out of noise cancellation. The headphones fold for travel. The kit includes a USB-C charging cable, aux cord and carrying case.
SOUND QUALITY – 9/10
So far the soundstage is broad, with clear highs and deep bass. Excellent!
COMFORT – 10/10
Ear pads are extremely soft, which makes them easy to wear for long periods. Adjustable band for different head sizes. Excellent comfort.
NOISE CANCELLATION – 7/10
This is the main reason I bought the Anker Soundcore Q30 headphones. I live in a townhouse and my neighbour with a shared wall has dogs that bark during the day – I needed a way to focus while working from home. While the NC does not completely eliminate the noise, it does reduce it significantly – I would say 60-70% reduction. I considered whether or not to just purchase construction-style noise blocking over the ear headphones, which promise up to a -38dB reduction, but they are often designed for extreme environments and would not be comfortable for a long period of time. If complete elimination of noise is required, you could purchase a more expensive pair of Bose Ultimate headphones. Or, use a pair of foam earplugs with these overtop and play white noise or music through the headphones with NC turned on.
If you go to rtings.com, you can objectively compare the noise cancellation performance of these Q30’s with premium Bose and Sony headphones. Surprisingly, the performance is closer than you might expect for the price gap. Yes, the Bose in particular blocks more sound, especially in the higher frequencies. But the Q30’s are still some of the best performing noise cancelling headphones for the < $100 market.
Within the app, you can choose from 3 noise cancelling ‘modes’. These are not available unless you download the app, and customize the frequencies that are targeted by the NC.
1) Transport: Targets low-end frequencies like engine and road noise (default mode)
2) Indoor: Eliminates voices and mid-frequency noise (this is my preferred mode)
3) Outdoor: Reduces ambient sound on-the-go
Its worth noting that because these are large, over-the-ear headphones, just putting them on will cut some of the noise. Even before you start playing any music, you can just put these on your head and instantly cut like -20 dB or more from the ambient sound. You can also activate NC without playing sound, so if you want to just cut the noise, you can do that.
BATTERY LIFE
I’m still waiting to kill this battery. It lasts for days of casual use. I’m not sure if it will actually last for the claimed 40 hours, especially when using NC, but its certainly better than my wireless buds.
VALUE / CONCLUSION
Buyers looking for good quality NC headphones on a budget will be very pleased. Sure, a set of Bose or Sony headphones will outperform in ultimate noise cancellation and sound quality, but for the price these Soundcore Q30’s are a great buy.

Let me start by stating how I use these babies as a full time student and stoner. I live in one of the most rainy states(OR) and regularly use them outside in the rain.
Sometime when you gotta smoke, you gotta smoke. Rain ain’t nothin to us so I take them out in the showers for about 20 mins session, here and there. No issues. I swear in them(not heavily) at the gym, running errands, and doing chores at home. They have been my most reliable headsets besides my HyperX Alphas.
They’re comfortable to use for school as well. I am a programming student and will be at my desk for 10+ hours so I take these guys out on long usages. They start getting uncomfortable after the 5-6 hr mark so I switch to my Alphas then.
Not to mention, I’ve dropped them more than I can count and they’re in great condition .. idk how I keep seeing broken ones in the reviews but mine has held up so well that I don’t know where to look when upgrading…
Sound quality is good, works for the price, I am not and audiofile but do enjoy music and YouTube docu series.
However, the touch anc settings will drive you insane. I hated that. Every accidental touch set the anc off and on. HATED IT.
For comfort, these are lightweight, they fall off my head sometimes but don’t pinch so that was nice. Comfortable until the 6 hr mark. I bought these full price at $85 but am seeing the Amazon sales for $55 or something.
I would definitely recommend these.
