This fitness journal is awesome. I love that it’s spiral bound. I love that it’s hard covered. I am very excited to continue my journey using this useful tool! Not only can you log your work outs, but you can log your food too all in one place! I know there are online fitness apps that do the same thing, but nothing beats having to actually write it down and hold yourself accountable.

This journal really has it all. Not just meal and workout trackers but so many tools to help you through your process with regular check-ina, goal setting, measurements, weekly reflections, etc.
If you are using it for that purpose, it could really make a huge difference in your consistency and success.
The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the bulk of the tracking – which is the workouts and nutrition – is such a tiny space to work with. There’s not much room for detail in either section, so I ended up having to get a second journal for my workouts. I would say if you are using it as a tools for accountability and consistency, this is absolutely your best bet. However if you are looking to track the details of your food and workout logs, you may want to look into other options or get a separate notebook to compliment this.

I’ve experimented with a number of fitness journals and always gave up because they were so busy and so bossy. This one could be bossy, if I chose to let it be, BUT it’s construction allows me to ignore the bossy bits.
First off, the front and back covers are gorgeous, a nice thick stock covered with a fine-weave paper and embossed with gold letters.
The coil binding lets it lie flat–very important!.
Inside are a number of sections:
1. Getting started–this is for those of you who need to do a little planning. Maybe you don’t workout that much. Maybe you’re only now realizing the benefits of a fitness routine. I probably won’t be using this section too much. I’ve been an avid at-home exerciser for over 20 years. But this section has lots to offer someone who hasn’t yet explored making fitness a priority.
2. My goals–I like this section and will use it. I think it’s important to revisit, review, and reset goals, especially fitness goals, regularly. This also has a section for nutrition–I settled the nutrition issues long, long ago, so I won’t be using this section, BUT if you haven’t yet done the research or the N=1 food experimenting, this this is for you.
3. Progress trackers. I don’t like this section. I WON’T be using the weight tracker at all, nor will I be pasting in photos of myself. If weight loss is an issue for you (although, truthfully, muscle building should be your main priority, not weight loss), then go ahead and worship at the altar of the false god, the bathroom scales.
4. Weekly planner. This is the bulk of the notebook, covering 52 weeks. Each week gets a two page spread with a workout log and a food tracker (I won’t comment on the food tracker. If you’ve read this far, you know my opinion of obsessing about food). It has room for short notes on goals, progress, achievement, gratitude. After every 4 weeks, there’s a 2-page spread progress reviews. The likert scale for the review is good, as are most of the items on the left side of the page, but the right side of the page will turn you into an emotional mess. It’s obsession is how many inches you’ve lost. Frankly, this is what I think is bossy. Go by how your clothes fit!!!!! Don’t get obsessed with inches or pounds.
5. Gym Workout Planner–good if you go to a gym and do sets with weights. I’d advise to use it as a log and not a planner. You never know from day to day how you’ll feel and what workout you’ll get done.
6. Thirty-day Challenges–basically trackers for some goal you’ve set.
7. A place for notes.
At the end of each section is a line drawing of a woman’s body that isn’t really pornographic at all, even though she’s nekkid.

This is been so far the best fitness journal I’ve ever had, I love it beyond words; it is easy to to use and handle, and is light weight. First time ever I been so focus on my fitness and I truly believe it is cause I got it.

I love the idea of this! I found using it helps me set my intentions and focus some on my mental health along with physical health. I also found I looked forward to writing in the journal and it helped me be more accountable. The only reason I’m taking off a star is that in many cases (bodybuilding or just losing weight), you would have interest in calories in vs out and there isn’t really a designated place for this or hardly enough room to write everything in each box. I think some space is wasted with areas for progress photos since most people won’t want to have to print off pictures. I do think it might be nice to to have weekly measurements vs once a month.

The layout of the planner is so helpful, making it easy for a beginner like me to navigate. From goal-setting pages to detailed workout logs, it feels like the perfect tool to keep me organized and accountable on my fitness path.
I’m eager to explore the meal planning section as I believe nutrition plays a crucial role in achieving my fitness goals.
As a bonus, the durable cover and quality materials give me confidence that this fitness journal will withstand the wear and tear of daily use.
