We ordered the Roleo on the recommendation of my daughter’s doctor. My daughter is a musician and plays the marimba which is like a giant xylophone. She was having a lot of forearm, wrist and hand issues from holding the mallets and hitting the keys — her ulnar nerve was irritated and it was causing her severe pain, making her fingers go numb, and reducing function in her hand to the point where she could barely hold a pencil to write. Before trying the Roleo, she had gone through about 2 months of physical therapy with very little improvement, so we ended up at a different doctor who recommended this.

It works as described – you put it on the table, stick your arm in it, and move it back and forth. The top part is spring loaded and pushes down on your arm massaging the muscles. My daughter did notice a significant improvement after using it a few times – better than anything she had seen from the physical therapist. I think if she used it regularly (like every day after every practice) it would probably mostly cure her problem, but of course she is a high school kid so she is not that disciplined — she waits for the pain to get bad and then does it. But when she does, it does pretty much immediately help the pain.

I will say, though, that I found customer service to be lacking. There is a tension knob on top that is supposed to control the amount of pressure that the spring loaded top is putting on your arm. On ours, twisting that knob one way or the other doesn’t seem to change the amount of pressure at all — maybe a tiny bit, but not really anything noticeable. I didn’t know if that was the way that it was supposed to work, so I emailed the email address on the box to ask, but never got any kind of response. I do suspect that ours may be defective but I guess I will never know for sure. At any rate, it is working for her pain and it was a lot cheaper than paying for physical therapy. I would have given it 5 stars if the tension knob worked as describe in the instructions or customer service had gotten back to me. If you are suffering from hand, wrist, or forearm pain, I would recommend giving this a try!

This is made well but it’s painful to use. Maybe for me this is just a sensitive area but it was a very unpleasant squeezing feeling and I didn’t care for it at all. I massage the area myself and even after that it’s sore so it could just be me. Icing is the best felling for my pain and I highly recommend you buy a velcro ice wrap for joints. I am on my phone often and that’s what causes my pain because my elbow is always bent. I suggest you start using your laptop too just to vary the muscles used, you sill use your arm of course but your elbow isn’t bent as much. Good luck as always physical therapy is a good option.

This little machine is perfect for my Tennis Elbow. I had tried so many other physical therapy type exercises, wraps and massages and my arm never seemed to get any better. Since I have started using this machine my tennis elbow has improved so much. I have much better use of my arm and much less pain. Simple to use and only need to do it minutes a day or when really needed after a lot of use of my arm. It has not completely healed my tennis elbow as of yet, but it has helped to make my arm once again useful. I highly recommend giving this product a shot. You never know, it may be your wonder machine too. Good luck.

Back on March 2021, I started feeling pain in my right arm. I thought it would go away after I stopped painting (preparing our house to sell). Unfortunately, the pain linger and it get worse. I tried OTC ointment, prescription ointment, physical therapy and dry needling. They only gave me temporary relief. But thank God I found this little device in Amazon that works wonder. Still gave me a temporary relief but a lot better than what the other things I mentioned above. I finally got an cortisone shot and I feel so much better. Not 100 pct but so much better. Little pain that I can tolerate. I’m keeping this device since its worth it. We used our hands constantly and this device really help in getting in to your muscle deeper than regular massage.

  7. Amazon Customer

The device is simple to use and adjust and very effective. It’s made a big difference in my tendon recovery and has reduced the number of physio visits I’ve required. The price may seem high at first, but it is well made and well worth having. I’m glad that if I ever get injured again in this way, or exascerbate the existing strain, I can just go back to this device.

This device looks like a Fisher Price toy and is about as thick and tough, absolutely solid. I actually keep mine at work, and when I feel my tennis elbow acting up, I find the pain spots and rub them until I can hardly stand it. After stretching out a bit, if feels absolutely great and reduces the long term pain. It also works great on hitting spots in the hand as well. I’ve had it for months now and consider it a great purchase.

I use elbow support bands often, and I did not think this would be a game changer. Thankfully, it is! When my tendonitis flares up, I break this thing out and go to town on my forearms. It provides more therapeutic relief than I expected it to. It’s effects are mild on the initial usage, but the net result is that I use my elbow support bands much less often because I don’t need to.

  11. Joyful Living

This is a fantastic tool for self massage, works great on forearms and hands. There is no ‘light’ setting, so if you are looking for light pressure, this is not the tool for you. Very sturdy, the rollers have different ridges which are helpful for massaging different parts of the forearms and hands. I’m not so sure about the suction cups, I’ve been using mine by holding it with my other hand.

  12. Exactly as advertised and arrived pronto. Good one

Bought it for my wife for her carpal tunnel. Spring not connected on one side straight out of the box so completely useless. Sent feed back with a photo and never heard back.

Good quality but not enough resistance for me. I am a massage therapist and I was hoping for a bit more resistance.
