After the better part of 15 years and series of 3 or moves my old bag had seen its better days. The last year had me working out from home exclusively and accelerated its demise. I shopped for a new bag for months before settling on this Ringside Bag. The bag shipped quickly and the carbineer made it easy to connect. This bag is a beast, densely packed , however, with enough give to absorb and distribute the punch without returning the energy . The density is consistent top to bottom, no soft spots. The shell is tough and provides good snap when struck. You will need good gloves and wraps to strike this and it might be a bit dense for beginners. This is a very well made product and a great value.

Update I have had this for several months and this bag is aging nicely. Thick as a brick and rock hard but when you strike it gives just enough so that your joints aren’t taking the force retuning to you. No soft spots have developed even at the top of the bag, a few bulges but that’s to be expected. Great value nice bag. 100# is perfect weight for my work outs.
Update February 23. Almost two years later and over a thousand rounds and hundred thousand punches this bag is still a gem. The jacket is In dynamite shape now signs of wear. The filling is still dense and hard. The bulges and dents are bit more pronounced but there is still no soft spots. Great value and very well made. I highly recommend it and keep punching.

Brought for my son as gift its deffinately 100 pounds lol super heavy and super durable it’s long so make sure you have the space for it and it doesn’t come with stands its easy to assemble because there is nothing to put together lmao the best !

I use this bag every day, and have had no problems with the stitching or straps. The stand isn’t very stable, and tends to walk backwards, so it has to be put in a corner, but is otherwise a good product. Like any bag, the areas you work on most tend to soften over time, while the bottom stays pretty hard, but that seems to be typical. Its worth the money.

This bag is visibly more durable and looks to be of higher quality than competitors at the same price point. Has the look of genuine leather. It is not a soft bag by any means. Of the many bags I’ve hit in my life this is definitely on the harder side, will need some breaking in and bag gloves and wraps are a must. Satisfying to hit, great smack.

I used to do bag work on a water buoy, but I found that the surface area was too small. With this bag, I can focus on various angles and this is truly what I need. Overall, the bag took time to get used to and it honestly felt like hitting cement. However, breaking it in, I’m used to it. I love hitting the bag and hearing that crack, so satisfying!

    Met my needs perfectly….

Like this heavy bag a lot. It’s not too heavy, soft compared to the brick wall of a bag I had before. Seems tough but pliable enough not to bang up hands and wrists.

Exactly what I wanted. Been using this for the last 4 months for 30-minute sessions in which I usually do 5 rounds using 14oz gloves. Seems very durable, like new still, and the soft filling was evenly packed all across. 100 pounds is perfect so it’s not wildly swinging around

The first thing that comes to mind upon opening the box is the quality of the product. The stitching for the chains and the logo are well done. It looks much better in person than it does in the photos, I would recommend Ringside update their landing page and product pages for accuracy. The bag features the chains for hanging, as well as, a metal loop at the bottom of the bag, similar to the ones found in the picture for the top of the bag (for an anchor attachment). The bag is soft-filled at 100lbs, which can be a preference for some, it can definitely take some hard hits, including kicks. Having trained martial arts and boxing for many years, I guarantee somebody of similar background will be completely satisfied and find the bag meets most of their needs, the bag is not very hard if you are accustomed to heavy bag training.

For somebody starting out, either looking to build a home-gym or even just knock around a bag for a while, just know that it is a top quality bag, and it can be quite tough starting out, though you may find a good pair of gloves will go a long way. Once you are used to the feel of it, the bag should probably last quite a long time, and you’ll find it was worth the price.

This is a review based on the initial day the product was delivered, if there is a significant drop in quality, the review will be edited, if you are reading this message, then there was nothing to change in the product quality and the review still stands.

So a few things, this bag is very sturdy and is a solid choice for beginners. The only issue I see is that it can be a little deceptive if you think the bag will feel like a traditional soft bag, yes it is filled with soft material, but there is a hard foam-like material lined around all the sides/edges (possibly to hold it’s form), making it a lot harder. Another specific thing is that the chains are fairly long for me specifically since I had to hang it from a very, very low ceiling, so I ended up hooking the chains in on the themselves, making specific points in the bag clump up due to the awkward pressure on the top and the bag now feel like a wall in those specific points. Just things to note, otherwise works great, especially with gloves and/or wraps.

My wife and I got into using a heavy bag about six months prior to Covid, when we were taking Kickboxing training at a local facility. We loved it. During Covid, we decided to get a home set (Everlast stand and heavy bag) so we could keep going while locked down and onward. We loved that set, but found the bag (75 lbs) to be too light for us, and decided to get a heavier for a Christmas gift to ourselves. We went with a 100 lbs, bag.

We have used Ringside at the training studio and have their gloves, so we knew the product line, and decided to take a look at a home bag. Originally we were going to go for a longer bag for kicking, but settled on this Ringside 100-pound Powerhide Boxing Punching Heavy Bag to fit our current set up – not ideal for kicking. As renters we can only do so much, so being able to move and adjust, keeping things a bit more mobile, was the key. We bought this Ringside 100-pound Powerhide Boxing Punching Heavy Bag with the intention of being able to use it for boxing now, being able to move it when we move, and that it can work with our Everlast frame. The frame takes up to 100 lbs.

So far we are very happy with the Ringside 100-pound Powerhide Boxing Punching Heavy Bag as our choice. I cannot imagine not having another Ringside – we have come to like the product line very much. The materials are excellent and withstand our skills. But they also give us something reliable and long lasting. The stitching for the attaching rings is excellent as well – it should withstand everything we can throw at it. The top ring allows for the bag to turn – which is great and not making out stand need to be readjusted as we sometimes had to do with the Everlast bag that does not have a similar turning mechanism. There is a ring at the bottom as well, so we can anchor it if we decide – to keep it from swaying as much. We are currently choosing not to use that ring. In the end, we are once again truly impressed with and happy to have made the choice of a Ringside. Everything we have experienced to date has been top notch. It’s only been a few weeks, but from previous experience, we believe it’ll last – our future plans include being able to mount to a ceiling, but for now, the stand mount is perfect. It all adds up to giving us what we need to workout.

I’m a serious martial artist and most of my exercise consists of heavy bag workouts. When I’m not at the gym, I need a good heavy bag that can withstand rigorous kickboxing training. This Ringside bag is perfect for the home gym. It’s well-made and has a nice synthetic leather striking surface. The only drawback was the top was stuffed a little sparsely, but I remedied that by packing it with a dozen or so extra pieces of old clothing that I shredded up. It’s a perfect consistency now. You may also likely have to shorten the chains on top in order to get it at the right height for a heavy bag stand, but that comes with the territory for many heavy bags. One short trip to your local hardware store and you are in business. This is an excellent heavy bag for the money.

This is a great heavy bag for beginners to intermediate users, especially for the price. I’ve waited 8 months to leave a review because you can’t judge the quality of a heavy bag without breaking it in.

The bag is very study. I’m 235 lbs with over 2 decades of martial arts/boxing experience and can hard punches/kicks with proper technique. This bag can take a beating and keep its shape. I haven’t noticed any tears in the bag or any defects in craftsmanship. This bag compares in quality with $300-400 bags I’ve used in professional gyms.

I attached to the bag to a 9’ high ceiling joist with a 7.25” heavy bag spring and haven’t had any problems. Some people like to attach a weight to the bottom of the bag to keep it place, but I prefer a little movement with a heavy bag. It has the perfect amount of swing to it for a great cardio workout and/or training session.
