I read the review about them being poor quality. I don’t understand it at all. Yes they are stapled. The plastic is REALLY thick. If it were just glued, it would be only a matter of time before they came apart. Staples are what is needed to keep these strong durable hoops together!

Bought these for a 10 year olds 1950s style bday party on the park & they worked a treat! Great for kids & the adults used them too. Sturdy enough to withhold kids playing with them. And great price for buying in bulk.

They’re solid but on the light side (for hooping). At 30″ diam, I couldn’t hoop. Then I tried a 40″ weighted hoop and was able to wind all day. We bought them for my 4-year-old kid’s b-day party and gave them out to all the kids. They couldn’t hoop either but that might be the fact that they are 4. If you’re an adult, I recommend 36″ or bigger and heavier.

My daughter has these hoops at her school and likes them a lot, so we ordered some for home. The plastic seems to be nice and thick, and pretty sturdy. If you’ve bought a hula hoop from a big-box or toy store before, you know they are thin and don’t last. These should. As another reviewer has said, they are stapled together at the “seam”, but the connection seems secure to me and the staples don’t protrude.
I wish they came in packs of less than 12, but at less than $4 per hoop, it’s a better deal than paying $10 for one crappy hoop. Plus, you can play other games in the yard with the extra hoops!
