Build Quality & Durability: 8/10 They are made of metal and hard plastic. The welds are great, and the powder coating is all right. On one of mine, the 50-pound weight is scratched pretty badly, from who knows what.
Functionality & Performance: 9/10 It is easy to change the weight in 10lb increments. One can change it in 5-pound or even 2/5-pound increments, but it takes more effort. Can they get heavy? Yes. Can they get light? Yes.
Value for Money: 10/10. This is where they shine. I have two dumbbells ranging from 5 to 90 pounds in 10—or 5-pound increments. I bought the base set and the two extensions, all on sale, and have 569.21 invested in them. That’s the cost of one of their pros series, which is 10-pound heavier.
Design & Aesthetics: 8/10 They look all right. They are not like what one thinks of when one pictures dumbbells. The design, however, is genius, easy to use, and effective. One downside is the grip. I wish it was knurled metal, but that is a 100-dollar upgrade.
User Experience: 8/10 I love these dumbbells and am glad I chose them over some competitors. I have never been afraid of them coming apart, and I have dropped them without showing any signs of failure.

It was a ride but I eventually got my dumbbells. I ended up having to order about 3 (3rd was just a replacement) times the first time one of the dumbbells got lost. The second time it happened again. The third time I was sent a replacement and got both at the same time. So have faith. Some people seem to get both or one after the other.
The dumbbells take some getting used to as some moves that are done with a regular dumbbell are a bit tricky but doable or it’s very easy to find an alternative. They are sturdy and built to last but I’m not a dropper in any way shape or form so be careful. Delivery that can be tricky. In the end I can’t complain and customer support helped a lot. I’m grateful I finally have them.

Konstruktionen är så genialiskt simpel att man förstår varför de (enligt kommentarer) aldrig går sönder.
Går snabbt och enkelt att byta vikt. Bekväma att använda i alla möjliga övningar.
Viktigt att veta att EXP betyder att man kan expandera / utöka vikten genom att köpa tilläggs vikter / plattor. Jag kommer köpa till steg 2 om några månader.
Finns inget pris för högt för hälsa och träning!

This set of dumbbells are awesome. First they are a great space saver. Second, they are safe and quick to adjust. Also, there are many other mechanical adjustable dumbbells that are similar but the weights get stuck as the locking system wares down over time. However, this system is not mechanical, the adjustable pin system is easy to use and never fails to slide out the weight amount as you need, it’s full proof and they never get stuck. The paint finish and quality are excellent. Also, I like the smaller foot print of their design and I though they would be awkward to handle but just the opposite is true. Since they are compact I feel I can handle the heavier weight with more control. I am close to 60 and for me 50 lbs is probably enough for most exercises, but for certain exercises such as shoulder shrugs I can still jump up to 70lbs on each hand. I like that I can increase to 90 lbs but I probably won’t need to get there I my age. Regardless, if you’re not a professional body builder and plan on exceeding 90lbs on each hand these are a great deal and product. I am extremely happy I bought them as they have done an amazing job with the design and the person who created this system really though outside the box. Oh and by the way, the box design is also a bonus especially when you go heavy and you plant them on top of your knees to kick them up for a dumbbell press. You’ll see if you buy them. BTW, I don’t have any endorsement with this company I just was impressed with the overall value I received, I know a good product when I use one and this is a great product.

I bought these based on the vast number of people that seem to love them and say that they’ll last a lifetime. I admit I was skeptical about the design – sticking my hand inside the box did NOT look comfortable. Fortunately, I had nothing to worry about – the weights feel natural and easy to grasp and lift in a variety of exercises and configurations. I typically start my easiest exercises with just the bare frame, which is 5 pounds by itself and can have the 2 2.5-pound “adder” weights to get to 10 pounds. Then the next frame/weights start at 15 without the adder weights, 17.5 pounds with one adder weight, 20 pounds with both adder weights. Each subsequent frame starts at 15, 25, 35, etc. Even though I read reviews saying that they can feel unbalanced for exercises like bicep curls, that has not been my experience. In the two weeks since I got the powerblocks, I’ve actually progressed from maxing out bicep curls at 15 pounds to 22.5! Overall, these are helping me keep good form while progressing slowly to increase weight and Lift Heavy Stuff (LHS for you ladies who know what I mean). As someone who hates going to a gym, these are the best purchase I’ve made for home workouts. Cannot recommend enough!
