The package arrived with no frills. Just in a large bubble mailer.
    What I liked:
The container is sealed on the outside, sealed on the inside so you can tell there is no obvious tampering and I believe it helps keep it from clumping from moisture. I followed the instructions to use one scoop in a glass of water. My first impression was that this has a NICE MILD FLAVOR. Something to resemble a weak koolaid. I personally do not like anything overpowering or too strong. Some superfoods taste “grassy” or have one flavor that is so strong to mask the grassiness. This did NOT disappoint in that way.
    What I disliked:
I think this is a great product but two things stood out that bothered me. With a “superfood” like this with such a multitude of ingredients I think it would be beneficial to list the vitamins and minerals that you are getting from it. The back label shows the plethora of ingredients but not in what percentage and no other nutritional information. The other thing that bothered me was this is “certified organic” but in the package I would have felt more confident if there was a 3rd party analysis showing it’s organic content.
Neither one of the “dislikes” are a deal breaker for me and since I liked the flavor, this will be my go to “reds”.

First off: As of August 2024, the label on the picture is the product your purchasing. As you can see, the description on the page of the ingredients does not match the ingredient list on the picture of the product. Why this isn’t fixed when the question is posted and made public is, imo, irresponsible. I don’t know if it’s the vendors fault or Amazon’s fault but come on folks, FIX IT, don’t just leave it like that, it’s confusing everyone who looks at this product.

The good: I’m on a very restrictive diet due to health issues over almost 20 years, oxalate being a focus among other things like gluten. I WANT WHOLE FOOD SUPPLEMENTS, as should everyone. Why use synthetic supplements when we can use food-source that our bodies like and understand. Let’s all get up to speed.

That said, this “red” supp has some greens in it, and I’ll eat calcium foods with anything-oxalate anyway to help bind the oxalate. More and more people are on this path as they understand systemic calcification, besides kidney stones.

In that regard, the ingredients are a great selection; not overbearing with countless seemingly random food items that may inadvertently cause reactions in some people (theories being both that a long list with large variety is good for the microbiome, but that long list may also trigger sensitivities in some people due to exposure to too many different food ingredients).

This was a medium sized list on the label; not small, but not overbearingly large. Some other green supps use tea extracts that may contain caffeine for example, which I wanted to avoid.

And what I’ve learned in this long, labored search is that countless whole food supps use the same ingredients, showing that countless companies are likely just sourcing from one place that provides all the same food ingredients and in similar proportions.

I gave up a now-well-known brand that I used for years because they sold out in 2017 to a huge corporate conglomerate, many will know exactly what I’m talking about. Without mentioning the name…that starts with “N”…they are a company with a history on the public record of engaging in all sorts of unethical practices. So I will *not* buy from that company ever again because of that.

That said, the ingredient list is decent, not overbearing, and is hopefully filling in some whole food gaps in my diet that could use filling in. I’m low on animal products consumption, and focus mostly on fruits and vegetables. With many health issues in my background, I remain very healthy because of my diet.

The bad: Wow is this product sweet. I can safely define it as “sickly” sweet. I was really-really hoping it wouldn’t be like this. I think most people seeking out a product like this have a palate that is adjusted to clean eating, so we are easily overwhelmed…scratch that…”sickened”…by sugary-sweet foods.

I’m the type of person who can eat anything that is bitter or “earthy,” etc very easily without complaining. I never, ever, need things to taste good if they provide a benefit to begin with. The public’s need to have everything taste good issue is a whiny first-world problem imo, as the western palate, so used to processed garbage foods, demands things taste pleasing in order to be happy consuming them. Kinda like children. I’m always disappointed at how many people will leave reviews that have a heavy reference on how the product tastes; I could care less how it tastes as long as it’s giving me tangible benefits.

So I’ll assume the company is catering to the typically immature palate. And doing a great job in that regard, as the product tastes even sweeter than the junk we’d churn out of a gumball machine when we were kids.

    (Ugh)….(sigh)…

I don’t know if I’ll buy again. I most certainly will keep searching. It is very disappointing how difficult it is to find a low-oxalate organic whole food powder. The excessive sweetness is definitely part of my motivation to find something different. Can’t mix this product with anything to tone it down, the sweetness just cuts through everything. I’ll choke it down in the meantime.

If I do notice a tangible difference using the product…which I measure mostly based on my energy levels…I’ll consider keep purchasing until something more suited to my needs is available (or if I finally find such a thing in this endless search).

Update- well? Honestly, I do not feel any different. Sorry, but other than knowing I am drinking a healthy blend of ingredients, I cannot physically tell a difference. I’m as tired as I’ve always been, my SI hurts as it always has, and I have the occasional headaches I’ve always had. I did not expect to jump up and fly like superman, lol, I just hoped I’d feel more energized. No worries, I may be so far off that it’ll take several canisters to help me.

I just received this a few days ago,so I will update effects at a later time but for now I will talk about my opinion of the taste. I drank it mixed with ice water the first couple of times, and to me, it is sickenly sweet. The first few sips were hard to get down. But, after that I mixed it with some fresh sqeezed lemon juice- so much more palatible! Can’t wait to update!

I know taste should not be the number one important factor, however in order for me to actually use the product and get the benefits, the flavor cannot make me gag. This powder is perfect. Good, non GMO ingredients and the results are noticeable right away. I can mix this up every morning with a few ice cubes and be set for the day!

  5. Netan
