I enjoyed this protein powder. It mixes well, tastes good, and is, of course, easy to use. I wish there were more in the container, but I found it good quality protein powder. I will probably order it again if I’m not successful at making my own. The cost of the powders is so high, at almost $1.00 a scoop.

    Overall, it’s a good product.

After spending a pretty penny (or hundreds🤦🏼‍♀️) on quite a few canisters of protein powder options, I’m so elated to have FINALLY found a match for me 🙏🏻 The taste is delicious. It’s thick and creamy and mixes well in a Vitamix. I’m looking forward to trying the vanilla and Peanut Butter flavors 🤤

    My story on protein powders…
My number one go to for protein shakes used to be ON. I loved mostly everything about it…except the side effects on my pretty sensitive stomach. I’m vegetarian so I personally like getting my added protein in the form of a shake.

After realizing I need to switch from ON to something else, I decided to try a plant-based option. I tried 2 other options – Vega and Orgain. It’s not until this specific Orgain powder did I find the right one 😅 Idk if it’s the certain peas they use or the peanut flour or the coconut sugar (yes this has real sugar added but not the fake stuff that has awful side effects on the body- some life threatening for some and I didn’t want to find out if that was me!) but this powder is delicious!!

Here’s my go-to mix: 2 scoops powder (suggested on the canister), 4-6 oz. of unsweetened almond milk, and a handful of frozen, sliced bananas and strawberries. I add ice or water is it’s too thick or I want more to drink (that mix fits in a 12 oz. Tervis Tumbler with some shared with my daughter). ON seemed to make more somehow and filled up a big Tervis Tumbler but this much is fine for me.

I highly recommend giving this one a try before the other non-whey protein powders 👍🏻

    Taste good

My partner, a fellow vegan protein shake enthusiast, recently gave Orgain Organic Simple Chocolate a try, and we both have some thoughts to share! Here’s the breakdown:

Taste: (4 out of 5 stars)

This one surprised us! We expected a more basic chocolate flavor, but it actually has a richer taste than some other vegan protein powders we’ve tried. It’s not overly sweet, which is a big plus, but it does have a satisfying cocoa flavor.

Mixability: (5 out of 5 stars)

Huge win here! It blended perfectly with his favorite chocolate oat milk – no clumps, no weird texture, just smooth and delicious.

Ingredients: (5 out of 5 stars)

This is what really sets this powder apart! Simple, organic ingredients you can actually pronounce. No artificial sweeteners like stevia (which gives him headaches), just pure, clean protein.

Overall: (4.5 out of 5 stars)

This is a fantastic protein powder option for vegans. It delivers a good dose of protein without any of the artificial junk. The taste is great, especially with a little creativity (see tip below!), and it mixes perfectly.

Would recommend to: Vegans looking for a clean, high-quality protein powder with a rich chocolate taste and easy mixability.

Tip: We found that adding a scoop of peanut butter and a tiny drizzle of chocolate syrup or honey really elevates the flavor profile. It adds a touch of sweetness and creaminess without compromising the clean ingredients.

    Hope this review helps!

I made some overnight oats! This is some good protein powder however I didn’t realize it had a nut flavor to it. I assumed it was just going to taste like vanilla, but that’s bad reading on my part. The flavor is okay, it’s a bit sweet and it still as a bit of aftertaste.

I’ve tried a handful of protein powders, and *none* of them have tasted right to me. The ones with whey or other animal products invariably taste chalky or otherwise funky. The vegan ones, meantime, almost always have stevia (including some of the other Orgain powders). I hate — I cannot emphasize this enough, HATE — stevia because it imparts an artificial sweetener aftertaste (think Diet Coke, but worse and more clingy) to everything it’s in. It doesn’t matter what you put in it, be it berries, bananas, peanut butter, or what kind of liquid you use. It ruins everything it touches.

    Okay, rant over.

So the cool thing here is that you get all the benefits of a vegan protein powder but no stevia and a relatively low sugar content. I use whole milk, and my wife uses unsweetened almond milk. It tastes good with either. My preferred blend is either bananas or frozen berries, two scoops of PB unsweetened peanut butter powder, a scoop of cocoa powder, and a scoop of the Orgain, and it tastes amazing (for whatever reason, it turns out thicker with the frozen fruit than it does with a comparable amount of bananas — I don’t know what kind of witchcraft they’ve got going on, but there you go). It’s really tasty, holds me until lunch (roughly four hours), and keeps my energy level on an even keel.

You can go with two scoops if you want more protein and/or a richer taste. I use the cocoa to bump up the chocolate flavor without adding more sugar, but this takes add-ins pretty well (I also use a handful of wheat germ occasionally). If they ever stop making this, I’m going to be one unhappy camper!

Scoop included. Just gotta sift through the protein powder to find it. The taste is chocolatey, smooth and creamy. I was shocked at first at how authentic it tasted. With some oat milk in a blender bottle, shake a couple times and good to go. I use it as a meal replacement when I’m on the go. It doesn’t clump up with you have the right equipment. Definitely will repurchase.
