I am impressed by how comprehensive it is–Gisele details everything from her personal health journey, to what she stocks in her pantry. The recipes are straight-forward and tasty. Just one thing to note: some of the cooking times seem a bit off. For example, the suggested bake time is 17 minutes for the chocolate chip cookies. My Spidey senses started tingling around the 11-minute mark, so I pulled them out of the oven. They had just started to brown and were delicious! Highly recommend this book if you’re trying to incorporate more veggies into your diet and/or are looking for simple and healthy meals.

Most recipes have pictures, that’s important for me. I have been really enjoying the read about her health journey and how she arrived to these healthy recipes! She reminded me how delicious roasted veggies should be ! My kids beg for more. Looking forward to trying lots of new recipes she shares!

I started off borrowing this book from a local library because I wasn’t sure it would be worth purchasing, and since then have ended up buying a total of 4 copies for myself, friends and family.
I read this cover to cover, and while the recipes have given me great ideas for incorporating more vegetables into daily meals, I found the chapters written by Gisele at the beginning, and the healthy eating tips embedded throughout the recipe pages, to be the most helpful. I consider myself to be pretty knowledgeable on healthy eating- it’s a big part of my life already- but I learned Gisele’s recommendations like eating fruit on an empty stomach and allowing it to digest (eating with fats/proteins slows digestion and causes the fruit to ferment in your stomach, causing gas and bloating), allowing 4-5 hours in between meals (I had tended to graze all day before this), and other easy-to-incorporate tips that have already had an impact on my daily routines and, I think, have improved my well-being.
This is a great book for anyone who’s interested in learning more about nutrition and improving their own health and wellness.

Omg I have been counting the days for this book to come out! I was overcome with PURE joy as a I flipped through the pages because I know how important this book actually is. Not only do I think the quality, photography, and recipes are top notch (best cook book 2024 no doubt) but the lessons inside are transformational for anyone not familiar with GB’s work.
Giselle pulled me out of a really dark period in my life (early 20’s) her wisdom from her autobiography “lessons” was literality a life jacket – a life line for me. I was severely struggling with many of the similar issues she experienced being a young 20 year old girl out in the world not understanding what is wrong with her only to find out all she has is within herself. I learned how to not only survive but to fight for my life and the well being of the planet and world.
In many ways Giselle raised me. She comforted me and inspired me with her wisdom and I am not who I am today without her influence.
Now she teaches me how to actually cook. Wow.
So many people would live healthier and happier eyes if only they knew their way around the kitchen. Believe me I sure didn’t and I was quickly breaking down as a young adult. I want to gift this book to all my friends navigating health and wellness especially those who want to take responsibility for their health but don’t have the right role models in their life or know where to start.
Giselle is a super underrated health advocate. She is never self promoting a diet or one way of thinking. Her intuitive and energy balancing way of living is so much better for the world. This book is so intimate and gentle to read. You can hear her beautiful soul through the pages of this book. It Captures her heart and her wisdom perfectly. It feels as if Giselle is talking to you directly from your kitchen telling you how to turn your veggies while they bake in the oven.

Absolutely love this book!!! I love to cook and have experimented with several more complex recipes and ingredients. I think this book is a great reminder that simple, wholesome ingredients make delicious nutritional meals. The book also has great ideas for leftovers, simple combinations, and food prepping and storage. Beautiful pictures and easy to follow. Love all her stories too.
