- LITE-VERSION – FOCUS ON PRACTICABILITY: Compared to mirror-finish version, the standard version skip the 1-hour-hand-polishing process in order to reduce the costs. But don’t worry about the quality, because other production processes are exactly the same as with the mirror finishing version dumbbells. Since there are textures made by machines on each weight plate, they can’t reflect things as clearly as with mirror finishing version dumbbells, however, they are still shiny and look great.

The 10lb dumbbell can be adjusted to 5lb, 7lb, 8lb 10lb. The 15lb dumbbell can be adjusted to 7lb, 10lb, 12lb 15lb. The 20lb dumbbell can be adjusted to 10lb, 14lb, 16lb and 20lb. Compact design saves some space, makes for easy storage. With the bar, makes a great choice for versatile at-home workouts of any intensity. Wrapped in soft material for comfort, which is nice compared to just bare iron if youre doing a prolonged workout. Solid steel, so they are heavier than they look–side note, do not drop on foot. Big owie, much noise, many profanity. Dont forget to use the rubber rings, as they keep the weights from comming loose by themselves–very important.
The downside? Even with the bar, only so much weight can be added and supported by the actual threading of the weights. For most, this will not be a problem, but for those who really like to suffer, you may find yourself wishing you could add a little more weight.
Definitely recommend, though.

Very well made dumbbells but their increments are all over the place. If you buy the 50 LBs dumbbells you can make the following: 15 LBs dumbbells, 25 LBs dumbbells, 30 LBs, 40 LBs, 50 LBs. There is nothing in between. It is missing 2.5 LBs plate that will matter to any serious progressive overload trainer. So you are forced to buy 2.5 LBs weights to cover the missing increments. I feel for the price each dumbbell should include 2x 2.5 LBs weight to call it truly adjustable
Edit: updated to 5 stars because seller is easy to deal with. I had to buy the 2.5 LBs set nonetheless but honestly now it is difficult to find a fault with these. Hope they will last a long time and I have a feeling they will.

I spent a lot of time researching getting free weights. I originally and then planning to get the bow flex fancy ones to save space but then after reading reviews and talking to a representative it sounds like parts can break and I just didn’t wanna deal with that. Especially at that crazy price point. So I decided these dumbbells were a perfect medium.

When I opened the package, the dumbbell quality was excellent, beautiful, sleek, pristine! Accessories and instruction booklet were lovely—I’ma tech writer so, yes, that matters to me. 😉
The grips were very comfy! My only complaint is they smell like petrol chemical so hopefully leaving those outside a few days will outgas the smell—that smell stayed on my hands. Bleah.
I’d pay more money for less toxic grip material
Since I’m petite, I didn’t realize the 50 pound dumbbells are too heavy, so I returning to get the 30 pound ones. However, the return process has been super easy and I’m very happy about it.

Purchased a set of the 50lbs dumbells so they say you can change them from 25lbs/40lbs/50lbs right? Wrong, you can get more out of them! I removed all of the weights and now you can also get 10lbs from the 2X5lbs, 15lbs from the 2X7.5lbs and also get 20lbs from the 2X7.5lbs & 2X2.5lbs added together. This means when you purchase the 50lbs dumbells you can make up over 6 different weights “10lbs/15lbs/20lbs/25lbs/40lbs/50lbs” and not just 3.
These weighst are very compact and did wish they were a little larger in size as I’m use to the Ivenko weights from the gym as you want a balance of bulkiness and size but not a deal breaker. The set cost me approx. $520CAD with tax but if you compare the cost of this to the cheaper ones out there, nothing comes close to this when it comes to quality!

UPDATE: July 2, 2021 (Connecting bar)
Ok I’m officially obsessed with this company’s products (if I wasn’t already lol!) I just got the connecting bar this week and it’s even better than I expected. It feels very sturdy and durable. The outside grips are the same as the dumbbells but the middle part is more squishy, which makes it more comfortable if you want to put it on your shoulders for squats or on your hips for hip thrusts. Only thing that would be nice is if there was a recommendation for the max weight you can put on the bar but I’m not too concerned since it feels really solid.

Still really love my 10lb dumbbells!! Ended up purchasing the 30lb ones as well. I love that I can combine weights from both sets to have more weight options (see diagram in photos for some possible combinations).

ORIGINAL REVIEW: February 15, 2021 (10lb dumbbells)
I’ve been using these 10lb dumbbells for about 2 weeks and overall really like them!
Pros:
– Really beautiful design (maybe that doesn’t matter to everyone but I’m a designer so that was a factor for me lol).
– Grip is very cushiony which makes it super comfortable to hold, even for long workouts. Also seems to be pretty durable.
– I like that there aren’t too many weights to deal with and they’re super easy to get on and off.
– The seller advertises 4 different weight configurations (5lb, 7lb, 8lb, 10lb) but you can also do 3lb if you flip the middle weights and just screw those on. Because I’m just starting out using weights I appreciated having that option in the beginning.
Cons:
– Scratches easily and fingerprints are pretty apparent.
– After just 2 weeks the logo was starting to rub off. It was kind of annoying/distracting during my workout so I ended up rubbing off the logos entirely. Not a big deal to me though.
Side note: based on the photos for the 10lb dumbbells at the time I purchased, I expected to get the red grip but received a blue one. I actually like the blue one better so that was fine by me.

This set of dumbbells is really nice. They are adjustable and the action to screw them on or off is easy and smooth.I like the aesthetics of the set as well. The hand grips are nice and comfortable. I really like these! I would recommend them.

Gave as a Christmas present and the recipient was most pleased. Liked the foam grips and the attractive look of the barbells. Weights are easily changed to accommodate the needs of the user. Worth the extra price compared to other barbells.

The handle of the dumbbell will not create callouses on your hands. It feels very comfortable and on top of that you can use it for a long time cause you can change the weights.

Additional Notes:
I like these weights a lot, but I wish they had come with a padded box where I could keep the additional weights and large o-rings when I’m not using them. Good thing I had an old box and a small pool noodle I could cut up and use as a soft spacer.
I havenʻt had any problems with the weights coming loose or getting stuck together, and I appreciate just how compact they are. Another person in my household has large adjustable weights, but they are unwieldy for me. For my order, I bought the 10lbs set, but I’m considering also purchasing the 30lbs set and the barbell at some point in the future.
A compact storage case or box and a groove along the base weight to place a large o-ring would be welcomed changes.
