I’ve been looking at rowers for a while and wanted something that was going to last. I ordered this hoping for the best and I am pleased with it. It arrived in a box that was beat up and almost tore in half, but luckily it was packaged inside the box in foam and was not damaged. Putting it together was super simple with 8 bolts. It is very smooth to row and functions great. I wish the resistance numbers were more visible but a paint pen fixed that. Overall I am very satisfied with it. Time will tell if it will hold up but I don’t see a difference in the more expensive rower as far as build quality. If I had to point out one difference it would be the monitor. It is very basic and the data fields are not able to be changed out of metric, but that is not a big deal.

The media could not be loaded.

Love the quality of this for the price! Function just like the concept 2 thats in most gyms! One suggestion would be replace the pieces you place feet with a rubber one. The back of heel rubs into the hard plastic.

This thing is QUALITY, it’s pretty much bolt for bolt the same as the concept but half the price. I love this machine and I hate it after it whoops my butt.

I’m 6’3 and I don’t even reach the stopper on a full motion I think this is an amazing full experience rower and have been using it 3 times a week since purchase.

  4. Eddie Caumiant

very similar to the Concept 2 at half the price. Use it every day for about three weeks now , no issues.

This rower is a carbon copy of Concept 2 rower. Except the monitor. Great value!

When I went to the gym the concept 2 rowers just flipped up straight for storage SUPER convenient this one does not you have to take it apart, I struggle with it and it pinches your fingers easy. I’m also a 5’5″ female and this thing is made for giants you could be 7 feet tall and still use this. The resistance is fine, doesn’t have calories per hour like concept 2 but if its accurate it burns less calories than concept 2, handle instantly gave me blisters the concept 2 did not do that I will have to buy something to cover my palms. It’s also difficult for me to even see the screen because it’s so far from me, even when I am squatted all the way up I have to remove my feet to see the screen. But I hate the gym so much because of people this will have to do in the meantime i guess. It’s been taking up my walkway for days, because it’s so hard for me to get it apart and back together for storage I’m excited to have it but at the same time feel like a total bone head because I struggle so much getting it apart for storage.

Purchased the R-11 air rower hoping it would be a good analogue of the rowers that I used a few years ago when Crossfit was part of my fitness journey. Haven’t done much in the intervening years, but as I get older realized I needed to add a low-impact cardio workout to the moving I haven’t been doing enough of lately.

When I went looking for a C*ncept 2, I realized pretty quickly that even the used machines were out of any reasonable price range for me, since I wasn’t sure that I’d use the rower any more than I use the (very nice) treadmill we purchased a few years ago.

And then lo and behold, I found MERACH offerings that were very close in looks and, once i received the rower I’m so very pleased to report, the FEEL of the C*ncept 2 rower. So much so that my fear of not using it has not only come to pass, but I’m pleased to report that I’m already back to some of my old split times and have managed to pull a 10k with a reasonably good result!

Have been getting on the rower almost daily since purchase. It is smooth, reliable, has great action that really propels you to use it, in my experience. I’ve had other, cheaper rowers and cannot recommend spending at least the money that a good MERACH offering will cost you, rather than getting a lesser machine from someone else.

With rowing, enjoying the meditative part of the exercise is an important characteristic for me, and the R-11 rower provides that smooth, zen-like whooshing that only a good air rower built like this can do. I’ve tried the “best,” trust me when I say if that’s the experience you’re looking for, you’ve found it in this rower.

Metrics are important in this sport, to some, and the ones provided on the display from MERACH are consistent with those from other brands, the app is actually quite good in displaying and retaining ongoing rowing stats similar to the functionality of the C*ncept 2 connected devices. You can row in competition with others, play games, watch video instruction while rowing, etc. etc.

Works with Apple+, iFit, some of the other major erg exercise types. I haven’t gotten EXR up and running yet, but it looks compatible there, too. This is a good, straight ahead erg machine.

No idea about MERACH parts or service as I haven’t needed anything, but I can bet that they care enough about your experience to be pretty good there, as they provided excellent focus on the design here. Also, it’s very likely that any replacement or upgrade parts you may need or want could be purchased at C*ncept 2, the machines are that close.

I’m hoping to try and provide feedback on not just this example, but their water rower as well, as I get back into the sport and fitness aspects of rowing for 50-somethings who suffer from arthritis and need to remain somehow athletic. The R-11 has been a great addition to my life in that way.

Merach R11 Air Pro Rowing Machine for Home
I give this 5 stars because it is perfect for my needs and the price was a steal. The resistance seems a bit weak, it is too much for me now, and on high I can only row for a short time… but, I feel like I will eventually outgrow it. Maybe in a year… When/if that day comes, I will experiment with adding weights to my arms and legs. It is LONG! 7’11” it is not tippy at all. The glide surface is not painted and shiny smooth so you do not need to worry about the seat chipping the paint away by wear. You cannot hear the chair slide at all, perfectly machined and zero wobble! …and, the fan seems quieter than a window box fan. It is around 100lbs in the box so if you are not already strong, you will need help with it. The FedEx guy lifted it up and set it on my porch like it was a feather, he was showing off! Without a doubt, this is pro equipment! I have done a lot of research on rowers and this one shines above all others in current price, durability and function. The chain is a HUGE plus, the recoil is immediate, and no worries about a canvas strap wearing out and needing replacement. This is really the ticket, grab one while supplies remain available!
