When looking for hit pads I saw these and thought they looked the part. I wanted something durable yet cost friendly and I believe I got exactly what I wanted. The pads seem to be very sturdy in their construction and well padded all around. The only con I would say is that if you have large hands as I do its a bit snug getting them on but once they get on they stay secure and are comfortable to wear.

Picked these up when one of my kids wanted to learn a little boxing. In the past I’ve only used my own trainers pads which were a little pricier then these (name brand leather). Didn’t notice much difference quality wise and these seem like they will last well so no regrets getting these vs some of the cheaper ones around.

They are pretty padded, in an ideal world id go with less at least when doing pad work with a 12 year old girl but for a heavier hitter might be welcome lol. Quite a bit of wrist support.

    e Leather Mitt

Literal garbage. Not protective at all. Feels overstuffed with cotton, no layered foam at all and the wrist support is so massive I have to force my hand into the already tight space. If that wasn’t bad enough, the shiny pretty leather on the outside, is the same they use on the inside of the hand compartment. Terrible choice, zero breathability. Instantly returned

    Very protective

I love Meister shin pads, bags and glove deodorizer so I thought I’d try these. They are real well made and the are pretty decent to hit BUT they are HUGE inside. I can fit two or three fingers into one finger hole in these. I am female but I’m not a tiny little thing…I’m almost 6 foot tall and medium to large framed. Most of the grown men at my gym, other than the super heavyweights, had the same issue. So if you’re a big guy, these will work for you but if you’re female or none heavyweight male then you may not be satisfied with these.

These are the best focus mitts I have ever used or purchased. Very thick and can take a beating. Genuine leather, feels great in the hands. I will ever go back to my previous thin pads. Definitely get what you pay for. These should last a long time…I have only had mine for a few months, but they can take a beathing…Just wipe them down after a workout if you sweat a lot, to preserve the leather. Don’t waste your time on junky vinyl ones. I totally recommend these. You will not be disappointed!

I bought these to hold mitts for my kids as they just started Kickboxing training. I train myself in MMA, boxing, kickboxing and Krav Maga and enjoy holding mitts as a training tool, but my wrists usually start aching after a while. These mitts have a nice extended padding at the wrists that help maintain angle of the wrist and I have found minimize the aches and pains I usually feel with other high quality mitts. They appear to be high quality and are comfortable. The price is right as well. I can not vouch for longevity and wear, as I have not had them as long and use them mostly at home vs. the rigors of being dedicated gym mitts. but for home use… I would recommend without hesitation.

These Mitts are great, and will say, these are some of the least expensive boxing Mitts some call (Pads) on Amazon that are made of high quality LEATHER. For those that are saying in the reviews, that they are too tight, and no grip inside, I don’t get what your complaining about…you want punching Mitts to be tight, and as far as grip, I can surely feel the ball like padding in the center of my hands. I’ve been a USA boxing coach for 13 years now, I trained 4 sons with wins and invites local, regional, and National Levels, and if you have issues with getting these on, all you do is slip your hands in them and pound the mitt (pad) from the top to snug the hand in place, and once you have one hand inside just repeat with the other hand by pounding mitt or pad to pad until both hands are fitted with these great Boxing Mitts. Don’t be afraid to pound the mitts, thats what they are made for (they can take a pounding), and not to worry about the material, because these are made from quality LEATHER nicely double stitched in the places they need to be. Just Buy them, and use the suggestions I mentioned above, and win some, matches, tournaments, perhaps Gold at the Olympics. ..now BOX.

Overall this is a really nice, high quality focus mitt. That said, it has a few drawbacks that make it a pain to use in the boxing gym. I do like the padding and high grade leather construction, it’s very nice. Unlike many other mitts, the leather doesn’t extend to the finger areas, which is a sort of synthetic mesh to allow for better breathability but also likely traps more sweat. I don’t like the vague finger slots, it’s more of an open area that doesn’t really give you much guidance for finger location as you put them on. Easy to get fingers in the wrong spot but hard to correct on the fly. They’re well constructed but big and bulky compared to others of similar quality. Not bad mitts but don’t really work well for me with the constant glove/mitt quick changes in the boxing gym and need to pack away in my gear bag along with shoes, gloves, head gear, etc.

I took much consideration when selecting the perfect mitts for my needs. I was gifted a pair of a cheaper brand a few years ago (before I got serious with my clients) Now that I’m fully invested in the skill and technique of my profession, I want only the closest thing to professional grade. And these are them. i don’t even feel my hands in these things. You’re well protected all the way to the wrist. My clients and hit as hard as they want and I give back the slap. Sure they’re large but thats what makes them great. Lots of area space for strikes and even kicks. Look no further. Top quality and good leather mitts.

Received these mitts yesterday and put them through a long workout, they are perfect. They fit snug, so they stay on well for either large or small size hands. Leather is high quality, workmanship is high quality. Wrist protection is great. You will be happy with these, they are pro quality and function perfectly. Worked well for hard punching, knees, and elbows. They are lightweight; comparable in weight to a cheap pair of mitts I have which are half the size.
