Bought to help strengthen knees from previous injury. Easy to build, around 30 mins, virtually silent, perfect addition to home gym equipment. Looked at a few trampolines and glad I opted for the Marcy one.
Feel the burn without the pain. Brilliant. Only been a couple of weeks and the difference is amazing.

This exercise trampoline, like many things in life (sigh) is a get-what-you-pay-for item. Having said that, I think this trampoline is even slightly overpriced given its mediocre build quality.

I bought this to replace a rebounder mini trampoline I used to own but didn’t take with me in a cross-country move. Rebounding / mini-trampolining is really good exercise for people who have problems with joints and impact stress. It’s fun and you can really work up a sweat. So I was looking forward to getting back into it but didn’t have the funds to replace my other model (the former mini trampoline cost about $175). This Marcy Trampoline Cardio Trainer, at under $80, is the most reasonably-priced Prime-shipping included trampoline I could find. But it’s nowhere near as good as my old one.

Simply put, this Marcy Trampoline really noisy. The main black ‘trampoline’ part is attached to the bars by elastics – not by metal coils/springs like better-quality trampolines. So this thing squeaks as you jump on it – a lot. So if you’re using it while someone is napping nearby, they may not like that.

The black edging skirt/ cover around the main trampoline part is cheap material that rustles a lot, making even more noise. My old better trampoline’s edging skirt/cover was bright orange – a much more useful colour so you can see the area on the black circle where you should confine your jumps to, even peripherally. Here, this Marcy Trampoline’s cover is black, so it blends into the main bouncy part, and you could more easily accidentally step onto the weaker ‘hinge’ part.

As for this being foldable/compact – ha ha! Sure if you want to risk shearing off your fingers. Setting this thing up takes brute strength and I will not be ever folding it up. Fortunately (although again this tells you its poor plasticy quality), it’s really light and is easy to prop up against a wall when not in use. It will actually also go under a high bed if there’s enough clearance for it.

Bouncing on this feels like jumping on your parents’ soggy mattress. It’s not as taut, springy, or pleasant-feeling as better-quality trampolines. You almost sort of ‘sink in’ too much on this one. And tension isn’t adjustable at all.

During the day, I place this trampoline outside my bathroom door, blocking the entrance. This way, I am forced to hop in and out, and sometimes linger on there a few steps for each trip. Every bit counts!

Despite the above, I still give it 4 stars because at least it’s affordable, and not the worst quality in the world (as in, it works).

However, I wish I had waited for the next payday for additional funds and didn’t cheap out on this trampoline. One can do much better. It can’t hurt, though, if you just want an entry-level unit to see if you even like the concept. This is definitely a ‘starter’ trampoline. But I’ve had a good one before this, so I know there are much better ones out there. I will be purchasing a better one before too long (sorry I can’t post the link to the other trampoline brand as it contravenes Amazon’s posting guidelines). But read the reviews and look for metal parts / springs – not cheap plastic and elastic like this one. Happy rebounding!

I’m using this as part of my morning exercises..very easy to use at any time of day. Mine is set up in an extra bedroom. As I work from home I can jump on and off whenever I get a break .very convenient to get the heart rate up quickly with little effort. I’m in my 70’s .. preparing for my next 20 yrs .

I just assembled it and am 160 pounds.

There are 28 straps and 6 legs. That means 2 straps must be pressed up against the legs and might wear out prematurely. I decided to leave the cover off so I can see where those are and keep them front and back, farthest from my feet, so they won’t fail as soon.

I can see how the threads would be easy to cross thread. I was very careful and avoided doing so. After reading other reviews, I will check leg tightness often. I also will leave the legs on.

I bought mine brand new rather than save $10 on a used one since I feared others might cross thread and return. My threads were all good. Nothing missing or broken.

The frame is designed for 4 lock pins, but only 1 is provided, and only 1 listed in the instructions. It would have to defy gravity to close someone, so maybe that is not an issue. People who fold theirs up might lose lock pins anyway.

The caps to the leg holes were on tight. I removed them with a pliers. Also one leg had a burr, which I ground off on the concrete.

Assembly took max 10 minutes with me being slow and careful, working alone. I was in no hurry and was taking pictures. Amazon won’t let me upload them unless I give more permissions than I want to.

Opening the frame to ready position is very easy. I don’t know why others had trouble.

I’ve not attempted to disassemble it. It would take too long to unthread and rethread the legs each time, and risk cross threading. Disassembly is practical for mailing and moving only.

I’m leaving the handle off and plan to leave the base assembled and stored on its side.

When I stand on it (160 pounds), it sinks 2 inches. Jumping does not sink it much more than that. Jumping is not tiring, but also not acrobatic. My feet don’t get above the mat. I could do it for 10 minutes if I want. I’m bicycle fit, just injured.

I just got this to rehab my knees. They can’t handle jumping on solid ground or grass. This is rougher than a big trampoline, but it forgiving enough my knees can handle it. I think it may be optimal for rehab. A big trampoline would absorb too much shock and not make my knees stronger.

I don’t know if others would find this fun to jump on, but it is perfect for me as far as rehab.

I’d give it 5 stars if it had 30 bands so none would rub against the legs. Hopefully this lasts long enough. Others won’t like the none stowability. For $44 shipped, I’m an ungreatful consumer perhaps.

Knowing what I know now, I would still buy this trampoline.

We purchased this trampoline for our incredibly active 6 year old for Christmas. What an incredible gift it has turned out to be! Where we live the winters are cold and harsh and it can be hard to give our active little guy enough space and time to get his energy out. We chose it because it was bigger than the trampolines marketed to children – and it is the perfect size for him to use now and as he grows. Even his 6th grade brother enjoys bouncing on it occasionally.

This trampoline fits in our living room and he jumps on it almost every day (even now, 3 months after he got it). My husband and brother put it together in about a half an hour. It was fairly simple to assemble since they had 2 people working on it, but required some strength on their part. Not sure I could have assembled it on my own.

Just a note – the box it’s delivered in has a large picture on the front. If you’re purchasing for a gift, any surprise may be spoiled if the recipient happens to see the box before you can get it safely hidden away.

Lo utilizo para mejorar mi elasticidad.

I had to get my son to put it together, wasn’t easy for me to do alone. Compact, doesn’t take up much room and I’m enjoying it.

It was told small for me i wanted something bigger but the material was good and sturdy strong a little noisy but I believe they are all noisy your jumping on it of course your going to heat something I would recommend

  11. Cyndi Silvas

My son loves this trampoline. The first one lasted over 2 years and it withstood all the abuse he put it through. I bought him a second one for Christmas and it is just as well made. He loves jumping and uses it multiple times a day, the mesh never began to show wear. He also likes to disassemble, rip and tear his personal belongings, but this trampoline withstood it all! I washed it regularly with dish soap and the hose, left it in the sun to dry, and never saw any signs of rust. I like that it has no springs, and the elastic bands are very strong. It is relatively easy to pop open, although I needed help from another adult to do it. I did have to replace it because he eventually broke through several of the elastic bands, but even this took him many months of gradual picking and tearing.
