First off, it does not have any such way to lock the pieces together once assembled. Secondly THere would be no way to fill with any sort of beads, dried beans or any sand as it falls apart just picking it up even after carefully seating each piece. It has to be taped together and even that is hideous. Really a waste of money. Rather than return this, I have repurposed this in a craft project. If you Hope to Hoolah Hoop this is not the Hoop!

I didn’t realized weights can make different. It is too light to move the hoop. Either kids or adults can play it. Kids just played as jumping hoops

While the idea of assembly is good, they are far too heavy and thick for even an adult to hula with, let alone a child.

All of you parents of babies know the creepy ANNOYING tummy time crab toy that crawls all over the house and plays it’s dreaded beat the entire time. The worst part of this crab is having to inevitably retrieve it about every 5 seconds as it gets stuck underneath furniture or zooms to the other side of the room where your baby can’t even see it.
Enter: this hula hoop. You can adjust the size (which will help when we use it as an actual hula hoop as my daughter grows, not just confining the crab) and even though the pieces aren’t built together, it seems very sturdy and holds its shape well.

This was a birthday gift for my 9 year old granddaughter and she loved it. It didn’t take long for her to get the hang of it. She was really good at it. It was nice that there were 2 because her 7 year old sister used the other one and they both had fun using them. I was very pleased with this purchase.

Easy to assemble and seems to be made ok. Time will tell how they last, but my kid enjoys using them.

ASSEMBLY:
As soon I received it, I put it together. Assembly is a bit of a struggle for someone without upper body strength and the material is slightly heavier than a premade solid hoola hoop but it works brilliantly. It says it can be made smaller than the 6 segments; however, the curvature in the segments makes creating a smaller hoop more challenging.
DISASSEMBLY:
If you bought this thinking about how easy it would be to store this, i will let you know, disassembly is just as challenging- if not more challenging- as assembling. You have to be mindful of the material when disassembling, as it is a moderately firm plastic. Softer than a squirt gun, think of it more like a super soaker chamber, if you manipulate the material too much, it splits at its seems. So be careful with applying too much weight or pressure when you disassemble- probably just better to keep it assembled.
USE:
Simple, typical. Kids will love it, although they might not like the color scheme. Depends on the kiddo.
