It’s pretty sturdy for being what it is. There’s minimal setup required but be aware the tension cord has to be clipped on for use/ off for folding and for the accident prone that’s dangerous.
This product has a lot of potential if they redesign the rollers at the lower back. The lower rollers make this piece extremely uncomfortable to use without putting a pillow behind you. Otherwise, it functions as it should.
I only gave 3 stars because the poor design creates an extremely uncomfortable experience without added problem solving. Overall, it’s a mediocre piece that is well made but poorly designed.

I’m a 5’4″, 150 lb, senior citizen. I think that’s important to know in order to appreciate the detail of a positive review like this one. It fits my frame well but don’t think it would fit someone more than a few inches taller. It’s a bit tricky to set up, primarily because the center stretch band is hard to raise up to the connection point for a senior with wrist issues – so I added the pictured S shaped extension – which is as far as I can lift the stretch band. Also tricky to get in and out of because it folds together when you are mounting to create a sunken valley you sink into and then have to lift out of. I can do it with some effort, but then I do not have back issues, and it’s easier if you drop the leg extension all the way down. I did not like the flex tube you grab onto over your head, but it’s design enables you to run the pictured 3/4 x 24 inch dowel through, which extends 5 in beyond the width of the flex tube on each side, that you can reach up, grab, and stretch with.
Once aboard I like the action. It allows a good stretch with a focus on bending in the mid section, which a straight inversion device does not allow. Not being a bodybuilder I do find the ability to work the abs valuable. Going forward I may experiment with adding some stretch bands to the undercarriage to enable a more forceful ab workout. The design of the undercarriage will allow some experimentation. So for me a good investment I will use daily to stay flexible, maintain back and posture flexibility, and ab strength.
Check out this brand new similar item as I like it much more. BodyRhythm Core and Ab Lounge.

I was skeptical- but happily surprised.
This chair is pretty sturdy. It takes a little to get used to and find a comfortable position (and trust that it’ll hold you) as well as to acclimate to the rock hard rollers.
But after a little less than a week- I got the hang of it. Thankfully you don’t totally invert in this chair- but you can comfortably control you position. The best part is that the chair curves with your back. After just 15 minutes of use- my lower back pain had significantly lessened. After a few more uses, I got so comfortable that I fell asleep in it!
The only negatives are that while it’s not hard to put together- it is confusing.
It stores nicely, but It’s also kind of cumbersome to unfold for use.

This is horrible piece of equipment. It has flipped me off the back of it 2 times. Hurt me last time. This is not for older people. I thought it would be like my ab lounger. But not even close. It also hurts your back. Wish I would never bought it.

I wasn’t able to open the box until now because I was still in physical therapy.
Today I opened the box which is outside the return window only to discover the seat is assembled backwards and won’t open.
There’s no tool included to take it apart and its not a typical one that could be easily found. Which is a hassle anyway. So, after speaking with Customer Service I have to pack it up and take to a UPS Store and Im getting dinged a $26 restocking fee for a defective product. Very unhappy and won’t reorder it.
I a different one years ago that was amazing and use of it definitely whittled inches off my tummy.
I didn’t have back issues then and after my recent Physical Therapy and use of a different model I felt the rollers on this one would make it comfortable to exercise.
Its a shame it arrived partially assembled backwards & without a tool to fix it.
It does seem sturdy and is not as heavy as other exercise equipment.
If you decide to buy it be careful over bending backwards you could do major damage to your back discs. My PT & chiropractor said small little crunches work best to avoid injury. Good luck!

This chair has helped my bad back by stretching back muscles and relaxing them. The inversion relieves stress. The chair was easy to assemble. Easy to get on and off. Easy to use. It feels sturdy. The rollers under my calves are hard and uncomfortable so I use a pillow. It’s not much of an abdominal workout, so if your buying it for an Ab workout you will be disappointed. It’s mainly to stretch and relax and invert back muscles. I recommend it and was surprised how it helps my back.

I received my Backlounge a couple weeks ago. I must say it was pretty easy to assemble. My fiancé is not very handy and he was able to put it together in 10 minutes.
I am a nurse and stand all day on my feet. This has caused me some back pain so I was looking for something to help me out. Using the Backlounge gave me the stretch I want and needed. I immediately started feeling relief !!
The rollers are very firm so they take a little getting use to … but I can also see how its rolling my stress away.
My favorite part is being in control. I have tried a full inversion machine before but they just make my ankles hurt.
The Backlounge gets my approval !!
