As much as I tend to avoid writing unfavorable reviews, I want to advise those looking for pain relief that this product may not live up to expectations.
I have been experiencing chronic pain, and was anxious to find a product that I believed would be helpful. I researched numerous items, and decided on these Lidocaine patches in hopes of relieving my pain.
The patches, unfortunately, are very thin and flimsy, and do not readily adhere to the skin. In fact, they shifted frequently, and would lift and fold over upon themselves, leaving the painful areas untreated. Any movement easily displaced the patches, as they virtually fell off and had to be searched for beneath my clothing.
They are only 4% Lidocaine, and the alleged therapeutic benefit is veritably non existent.
I’m a registered nurse, and for the price this is a poor quality product.
Continue reaearching, as I am, to find something better to resolve your pain.

Good adhesion. I cut them to fit and then tightly close the package. I wrap a Coban or k-tape over it. It is like magic. A must have for the medicine chest so that it is immediately available.

I have a love hate relationship with these. They work really well when my back or neck flares up, enough to the point where I did buy another box, but they don’t stick very well. I have to wear a tight shirt or high waisted pants to hold it in place, or else the edges peel up and soon the rest of the patch goes with it.

They’re a lifesaver and a nice addition to anyone’s first aid. Be mindful of Lidocaine patches, while they are effective, they can cause further skin irritation with uneven use. You’ll need to read the directions for these as they are but a percentage point lower than prescription lidocaine patches, and depending on the individual, your symptoms may be less than worthy of using these for long term use. But for me, I had upper back pain in a particular area and they work well for about 3 hours of use, then kinda fade out over the day. You’re not supposed to use more than 3-4 a day, so i’d go along with that. If after a few hours pain is returning, or it’s in a different area, it’s fine to take the one you have off and cover the prior area and new area, it’s all dependent on how painful it is, for me I was experiencing a numbness and itchiness in that part of my back. The icyhot formula has always worked, but lidocaine is a perfect addition to their standard formula. I’m satisfied to say the least, and a little peeling doesn’t bother me I assure you when the pain is relieved. But with that said, the adhesive is abysmally bad. They really need to work on that. I advise that you take as many fabrics as you can off that may collide with the product. You can also use a little surgical tape to help keep it on if you have some handy. Otherwise, keep pressing.

I was surprised at how quickly these patches work. The relief was almost instant and lasted for over half an hour. I wasn’t exactly sure how long to leave it on, but it greatly eased the pain in my back/shoulder blade area. Applied very easily and stayed in place. Definitely worth having some of these stored away in your medicine cabinet.
