Five stars for design, function and low cost- if I could give it extra stars, I would.
The High Speed Jump Rope is a superior item at an excellent price. It’s the best speed rope I’ve ever had by far, and I’ve had a bunch. I’m a martial artist, and boxing is one of my fundamentals, which means jumping rope is too- gotta stay on our toes, right? I have lots of ropes, from regular to heavy to speed, and there’s always something I’m nitpicky about. Until this one.
➕PLUSES
+Design and Function. Smooth doesn’t describe it- this rope is like a precision machine, it’s so well made. The bearing is top quality, and spins almost endlessly. Please check my video; I played with the length for a little while before I realized you have to push the rope in all the way, THEN back it out just a wee bit. Otherwise, the rope is crammed at the bottom of the mechanism, which impedes its rotation. Backing it out a little ensures that it’s gonna spin (and spin…and spin…) Also, other reviews criticize its length. You have to cut it, folks, and for that there are a couple of important considerations, also addressed in my very professional, highly produced video. The short of it: Put one foot through the bottom, put your feet together, and cut the rope length (not including the handles) at your sternum. That, or you can just measure 3′ extra and cut, but it isn’t as exact (e.g., I’m 5’10”, which means I’d cut it at 8’10”.) Also also, if you’re not used to a speed rope, well, they go really fast…and they hurt. Whipping your bare feet with one of these borders on Sadomasochism, but then again, so does martial arts. Anyway, when you cut this baby to the right length and do what I showed you, you’ve got the best speed rope you’re gonna find.
+Price. $20 is ridiculously low for such an excellent product. It actually goes for $15 on those Amazon sale days, but twenty bucks is still a no-brainer.
+Stuff. It comes with a case, spare washers and parts, and two ropes (black and red). Neat!
➖MINUSES
-None. Wowee!
☞TAKEAWAY
It’s rare to find such a gem at such a great price. I’ve never found a rope that moves this smoothly and quickly, nor is designed so well. It’s gonna last a long, long time, no fooling. It even looks cool. My other couple of speed ropes are now hanging in the garage, looking forlorn. Oh well. That’s evolution.
Guard up and heels off the mat, mates.

I’ve been happy with this jump rope. The handles are well made and it swings very smoothly. Wire cutters would be helpful for sizing it down to what you need. The case is helpful for storing it too. I’ve been getting a lot of use out of it. Definitely recommend!

This sucker is so sleek looking! From the case to the design, it would make a great gift for the fitness person in your life that appreciates good design. I have not used it personally, only assessed the quality and overall characteristics. A well made speed rope for sure! I would buy again!

I’m an older guy but have always realized the benefits of skipping rope. My leather rope finally died so I tried this type instead. I love it.
The jacketed metal cable offers the weight needed to get the rope moving well, hold its shape, and the protected covering protects my flooring as it ticks during rotations. The handles, being weighted, offer a good feel yet provide a solid gripping surface. The cable to handle connection points are tight and smooth while in use. I haven’t had any tangles as the cable is rigid enough to keep the line in shape. This set allows you to either just chug along at a slow pace or, since it is so streamlined, open it up to a pretty feverish spin without any snags. The sizing was easy and, even at my 6’1″ height, I did need to snip it back a few inches so it would work well for you tall folks as well. The set contains an extra line so I’m guessing it will last for a long, long time. The set comes in a durable zippered carrying case, so you’ve got a good place to store the extra line or stow the whole set into your luggage for travel. All in all, this is a pretty nice jump rope set with a lot of features the cheapies don’t have. If you plan on skipping some serious rope, this one will get you there.

This jumprope is so good that it eliminates any concern that the equipment is what’s holding back a user. Then again, that means all mistakes or shortcomings are obvious to any onlookers. Oh well you do you and get that fun work out!

I like the feel of a heavier handle for jump rope. This was a perfect fit and with heavy handles and good grip. The rope is light and box to store is a plus.
The rope can be adjusted in length based on need and this is great plus for different jump rope workouts.

This jumprope does not come assembled. So it will take a few minutes to put it together. Relatively simple to do and you can adjust it to your specific height. The handles are heavy! Has taken some time to get used to it for speed roping and double unders. It comes in a case and I like that since most ropes can get damaged floating around in a gym bag. So far, I like it
