I purchased this mat when I took up at-home yoga and strength training, and so far it has held up very well to several months of daily use. The mat did have a strong chemical odor when I first received it, but after I hand-washed it with soap and vinegar and left it to dry outside for a few hours, the smell became barely noticeable and is now gone entirely.
As far as texture, the bottom of this mat grips the floor well enough to stay put, and the top of it is comfortable and nonslip, providing a stable foundation for my workouts. I have been using it every day for yoga, push-ups, planks, and even as a softer landing spot for jumping rope, and thus far it shows no noticeable signs of wear and tear. It’s easy to wipe or wash down every few days to get rid of any sweat or dirt that may have accumulated.
One note: I’m not sure this product would work quite as well for tall people. I am just 5’3″ (160 cm) tall, and the mat is pretty much the ideal length for me. If I were a few inches taller, I think this mat might be too short for some of the things I’m using it for (such as planking). I’m giving it 5 stars because it is pretty, affordable, works well, and is the perfect size for my height.

so nice and thick compared to my last yoga mat! love the design as well. recommended for my mom who is a senior with a hip issue. this will help her with her yoga at the senior center so its more comfortable for her.

This mat seems slightly longer than my other mat and I like the extra thickness. Nice graphic on the mat.

This is a massive improvement from my old mat. It doesn’t slip during work outs. The pattern I chose is so cute. I use this for yoga and more vigorous workouts and it holds up very well.

This mat is perfect for yoga. Not slippery at all. Great color and pattern

I do all levels and advanced vinyasa yoga. This mat is thick enough that I don’t feel the wooden floors of the studio digging into me, but also thin enough that I don’t have to worry too much about it potentially affecting my balance.
I have lupus and have issues with my joints, so I wanted something with a little bit of cushion. I couldn’t find anything reasonable, both size/thickness wise and budget wise. I eventually came across this mat and decided to give it a try. I’ve found that it’s done a lot to help make me feel comfortable and to be confident in my posture and footing.
The design is very nice, and even after over a year of regular use, the design is still very visible. I haven’t had any of the mat itself flake or run away and it’s still in one piece. It doesn’t show signs of wear. It’s easy to roll up and carry.
It’s great about not stretching while you’re using it for yoga (I’ve had mats in the past where my downward dog would become weird looking push-ups). It’s not going to start slipping across the floor. I don’t find my feet slipping, either, but my hands sometimes do (that might be more user error than the mat as I tend to sweat a lot from my hands).
One downside would be that, because it’s a bit of a thicker mat, if it’s rolled up for too long or left in a hot car, the edge of the mat where you started the roll might curl upwards. I usually place a block or my phone at the edge and it holds it down without a problem and tends to flatten by the end of class.

I used an old beat up mat for years, until my cat peed on it. A sturdy mat really increases what you get out of a yoga session. Cool design, right thickness, and comfortable.

Didn’t look as nice as in the picture. Metalllic paint drops on the mat. Not the best quality. I’ve had better. Make sure you air it out well before bringing it to a yoga studio. The smell is very strong and will annoy the people lying beside you in the class. The smell is overpowering even after 2 weeks!

El diseño es muy bonito y el tapete tiene buen grosor y es antiderrapante. Al principio olía mucho a plástico pero se solucionó dejándolo una noche tendido en el exterior.

I have been doing yoga for over 10 years and have cycled through my fair share of yoga mats.
I’ve had the expensive Lululemon mats, and although the designs are cool and they are durable, they stain easily, are super heavy to lug around (6+ lbs for the 6 mm ones), and are NOT non-slip (in my opinion, even though they—along with nearly all yoga mats—are marketed as being non-slip). I have never had an issue with staining, weight, or slipping on Gaiam mats.
I actually started yoga with a very inexpensive Gaiam mat, which got the job done but wasn’t thick enough to support during certain poses (like boat pose and others when you are resting on one knee) and it fell apart after using it 1-3x a week for a year (the areas where my hands and feet are placed in downward dog started ripping up and little pieces kept falling off), so I was hesitant to go back to a Gaiam.
This mat, however, is more premium than the one I had before. I love that it is offered in so many different colors and styles. It’s beautiful, lightweight yet thick for excellent support, and sticky enough to hold poses. As for durability, only time will tell, but from other reviews, it seems to hold up well. I may even buy another one for home use if they go on sale for Black Friday 😊😊😊

So this mat is beautiful (it has truly metallic/silver details) and feels great. It also comes rolled in a way that you do not struggle to keep the ends from curling up like I see a lot of people struggle with during Barre and Yoga class. I use this mat generally for Barre, and unfortunately, when I sweat at the top and I am trying to do a plank, the mat gets slippery where my hands go, and it is really difficult to keep the plank. My solution to this is I put a sports towel where my hands go. The weird thing is that the instructions that come with the mat say to wet it to make it stickier (as in give you more grip) but instead, it gets slippery if it is sweaty wet. That is why I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5, and because I found an easy solution and everything else about the mat is great. I have had much thicker mats that sure, provide more knee protection but are harder to balance on, and my gym provides knee pads (but if yours does not and you do a lot of knee exercises with weights like in Barre, I recommend buying a knee pad). It did not come with a sling but I bought a Gaiam sling for less than $10 (the navy blue ones are cheaper). It does smell a bit funny the first few times you use it (even after wiping it down) but that fortunately goes away after maybe 4-5 times. All in all, it is a great mat for Barre and Yoga.
