I am 5ft 2 and 115pounds. I have a 130% reverse lumbar cube. With chiropractic help twice a week we’ve been Able to get the curve from 150-130. As it’s shifting back I needed to receive the pressure on the nerves from the extra compression.
Pros:
Gives me almost immediate relief. Tip: since disc space is opening up during decompression, place a heating pad onto theumbar support to bring blood flow to that area. Will help hydrate and heal the disc.
Bench is sturdy and nice.
Lumbar support is gentle and good for a reverse curve
Wheel is smooth to turn and gentle
Best value for the price. I was having to pay $35 a visit for a 12 min. Decompression chair at the chiropractor. Yes, it was easier to get on and off, but two times a week was not enough decompression for me. I need to use this every day for 15-20min at a time. I feel almost the same decompression benefits from this as their expensive chair.
Fits wide range of heights
Cons:
Too low to the ground. When you have back problems it’s hard to get down and up from that position! 12 inches higher would be ideal.
Does put a lot of pressure on the ankles and knees. I’ve tried to mitigate this some by putting on thick socks and folding the tops down as a double cushion.
Not easy to clamp down the legs then lay backwards on your own when you have pain. That part can be a little painful and I often ask for help.
If you have a wider body, this will probably be too narrow to be comfortable.

Easy to setup, once you get the posts, pillow, and foot length set to your body dimensions. This thing is capable of practically tearing you into 2 pieces. The cranking mechanism allows for very tiny adjustments when expanding and contracting the table as much as you desire without needing much strength to turn the handle. The ability to slowly unwind the machine back to initial state is way more important than I thought after a really hard decompression with the pillow wedge… It is one thing to really decompress your spine slowly over 10 minutes by constantly turning the handle little by little, but the precision control on the retraction is where this thing really shines, a millimeter at a time is the world. It takes about another 10 minutes just to retract slowly/safely to get off it. The ability to really pull my spine apart with 4 bulging discs and hold it there a few times has started causing large moments of time in the day where I literally don’t feel pain\tingling\numbness\burning etc… down my leg and without pain killers. I even found myself moving around to work on things and completely forgot that movement would cause me severe pain before using this decompression machine. There are times in the day where I literally forgot what it is was like not being in pain. Only had it a few days. First time using it with a solid stretch, be sure to have someone there to help uncrank it and move your feet cause it is going to stretch those muscles a solid. 2nd time using it, I probably gained 1″ of height easily while stretching myself as if it was a medieval torture machine, then hopped on a rolling and shifting massage table. After 2 uses I can’t rant and rave enough about how quickly I could move again while forgetting about pain. I literally woke up the next day and my leg was not burning or tingling even though that was temporary, it was something I have not experienced in a long time.

I have siatica and pain in my right leg, normally, I am paying 55 $ for physiotherapy two times every week and because of the the high cost , I decided to get this machine.
The device is safe and once you assemble all the parts, then you can lay down and start using it.
I can say that it is better than the device in the clinic because this machine will provide straight and 0 degree angle with your body. The machine in the clinic usually pull you with 45 degree wich is not surfing the purpose. You need to stretch yourself for 10 to 15 seconds and relax for 15 to 20 seconds, you can repeat this for 7 to 10 times . Also you can cold blanket or wrap on your back after the exercise . . I will help to reduce the pain. I reached a limit when I was thinking to do a surgery but now I feel more butter

I have a dodgy knee so a standard inversion table often does me more harm than good and I needed an alternative to decompress lower lumbar nerve impingement. While I agree with other users, that when in pain already, getting onto a floor device is difficult, but that simply is what it is, its a floor device. If you’re unable to get on the floor, its not the right device for you. Very much like an inversion table, you don’t feel relief immediately when you get out/up/off, but within a few minutes after using, as gravity catches up with you, you can feel things go back into the right place. Also as with inversion, it may take a few “applications” to get it right. IMO the device works quite nice as an alternative to a true inversion table and on-floor traction is very beneficial.
The device is VERY affordably priced, its pretty easy to assemble and is quite durable. I do wish it had more of a skate wheel assembly for the extension and that the “crank” was farther down the unit, but otherwise its been a solid addition to my at-home back therapy.

CONS: this device is heavy, cumbersome to move, difficult to use and, because of its design, doesn’t provide much focused traction on the lower back. The design has two fixed points, the ankles and the armpits. The traction movement pulls on the ankles, not directly on the spine. The armpit fixed point is a problem because the user must turn a small wheel that activates a gear mechanism to stretch out the legs. Because of the angles when laying on the table, I found it almost impossible to activate the mechanism while the feet and armpits were locked in place. As a result, I got very little traction effect. In addition, on a thin carpet, body weight made it almost impossible to turn the wheel that activates the outward stretching movement.
PROS: for the price it appeared to be reasonably well made. I did not find it difficult to assemble.
The review title sums it up for me. Well built. Poorly designed.
