Bought this earlier this year but didn’t set up until Ilast month when Igot my basement area ready for it. It was fun while it lasted but then broke where the middle column attaches to base.
Wasn’t hitting it crazy or anything but plastic broke.
Customer service hasn’t been helpful. I just want the broken part replaced. It’s useless now.
Wasted my money and my time.
    Would not recommend.

This training bag is a great value and when filled appropriately with winter works well for teens and preteens to get their boxing game on. It does move easily if not positioned well, so make sure to place it near a wall.

This thing can definitely take a beating! I bought this for my 2 son’s, dropped in 4 sand bags, assembled and they were very happy! I’m 6ft., 230lbs and really go at it on this and no problems at all.

  4. Boongalow

Unpacked the product, filled the base with sand. Hit it 3 times and it is broken. Seller refuses to help, Everlast won’t do anything because we are in Canada. $500 down the drain!!!

I purchased the Everlast Powercore Fitness Heavy Duty Training Bag with Glove in blue color at the end of December 23rd 2023 from the seller Spreetail. By February 23rd 2024 the shaft of the pole cracked when use by my 14 year old who weighs less than 110 lbs and who recently started to use it few weeks ago. I contacted the seller, Spreetail, and they refused to offer complementary replacement and instead offered that i ship it back for a replacement. Shipping cost would be nearly the same as buying it over again and I was not interested. Instead I contacted the manufacturer, Everlast, received the replacement part #6 from assembly manual for less than $30. Within five days same exact part cracked in the same area as the original. IMO, this product is defectively designed and is prone to break easily. Other’s have posted same issue, but they were lucky enough to crack/break it within return and replace timeframe.

I would NOT recommend Everlast Powercore Fitness Heavy Duty Training Bag. Instead, I have recently place an order for a different designe free standing punching bag with metal pole, shaft, and spring with suction base that takes water or sand. Let’s see..

Also very disappointed with Spreetail as a seller not standing behind their product.

Spent a bunch of time putting this together just as the directions said and had my 10 yo son (who the bag is for) kick to check out stability. First kick was a little low, and the bag pops upward on the core, so there should be some way to hold the bag in place. I told him to kick a little higher and that went great. Third kick, which he said was like half power, broke the threading sections out of the “flex neck” and the bag falls to the ground. Soo… not so much flexible as easily breakable. This was a main Christmas gift and it’s broken after 3 kicks…. Best part is, customer service is only open Monday through Friday so now we have to wait 3 more days to even ask if we can get replacement parts…. What a let-down.

The max height for the thing is like 5’5 but it seem it’s more approx 5’7 if you’re taller than that you shoudn’t buy this it’s going to feel like you fighting a small person. You’ll have trouble hitting right in front of you/your face.

My nephew loves it but definitely buy sand or prepare to fill with water. Otherwise it’s useless.

Only had it for few days. Works well

  10. Mark Messmore

Bought this for my daughter to put in her office, she loves it, especially the fact it sits in the corner of her office and takes up very little room. She can get up and work out in between meetings, it’s awesome.

The punching bag broke after just a few weeks, and neither Everlast nor the reseller would replace the defective unit. It was only used by 12-year-olds, so if you’re an adult seeking a reliable bag, I’d recommend looking elsewhere. Consider brands known for quality and customer service instead

I would not try to punch with all my power and weight all the time, but so far I had it for almost a year and I give good punches and it holds quite well. Very satisfied.

UPDTAE- Ok, still love how the base works, HOWEVER as seen in the picture I snapped my bag in half…what you see pictured is the second one I bought. So my conclusion is this IS worth it for the easy of filling this up. If you are over 185 pounds though I’d go ahead and invest in the Fight Camp or Century Torrent free standing bags that can take a beating from heavier punchers. And again, I’m not a pro and I snapped 2 of these in half.

I don’t write a lot of reviews but I felt compelled to do one for this product because I did a ton of research before purchasing it. The main reason I ended up going with this one because of the comments about the large opening the base has for filling it with sand or water. If you’ve ever had a piece of equipment that required filling it with sand or water (like a basketball hoop) then you know how much of a pain in the ass it is to do, AND if you ever want to move it or get rid of it how impossible it could be to empty it. As mentioned in other reviews the opening is large enough where you can actually just put the bags of sand in themselves. I added 4 60lb bags, and it could fit more but I didn’t want it to be too heavy because I move it around. I’m a boxing novice, and I use it for the aerobic training (fight camp app), but I’m a 245lb ex-college football player. It does move a bit when I punch it, but not annoyingly so (and if it did I’d just add more bags). The picture from above is after 2 weeks of use (3-4 days a week), seems to be durable, but again for the price and the ease of filling up the base this was well worth the purchase. I’m so glad I didn’t get something that would’ve required me to mount to a wall.
