The chocolate is like a dessert. Not a sickly sweet dessert, but a very rich tasty treat. I needed a boost of protein but had oral surgery and couldn’t chew anything. I ordered these to see if they might help my healing and keep me from starving while I recovered. They definitely did the trick. I never felt hungry. I enjoyed the taste and texture of them. My daughter also ended up loving them so we are now both drinking several a week to help us reach our daily goals of higher protein. They are not even slightly chalky. Tastes relatively similar to other protein drinks-a but chalky but edible. I have MCAS so I’m always looking for low histamine protein options. Chocolate and pea protein both make me feel sick. It is unfortunate that I have to buy a case of drinks only to find out I can’t tolerate after tasting one. There are no options for buying less drinks at a time.

I tried this product to avoid drinking dairy based ones but didn’t like its taste or the unpleasant aftertaste it left in my mouth. It’s good the company is trying to cater for people who are vegan or can’t eat dairy for other reasons, however I wouldn’t order this product again. In general, all the manufactured protein drinks are excessively sweet and full of artificial ingredients. I only use them because of severe malnutrition and medical advice but would never use any if I were able to eat sufficient real food for proper nutrition.

Im sensitive to many ingredients and i have allergies to wheat / gluten / dairy / latex foods and others i also have IBS and Gerd and most likely Crohns . I was losing my mind trying to find what to eat and i would hardly eat nothing . But my friend recommended me to drink Ensure protein shakes and came across this one , i was skeptical to try them but i drank one and i felt alot better that day and did not react to it . Its a very healthy drink and has many vitamins and minerals that my body needs . Im getting better now and i will continue to buy this , i love the chocolate flavor ! Its not chalky and its smooth like cream and the taste is super good ! I dont drink more than 2 a day sometimes i drink half a shake and later i drink the rest that day . Stay blessed everyone and I recommend this with those with stomach/gut/allergy/ sensitivities like myself ! Stay positive this will help alot !
