Great punching bag got use to it after I used it for a while. I recommend you get Training gloves for this specific bag if you aren’t a big dude. Get something that will specifically protect your knuckles with extra padding extra some of my skin came off from my knuckle but later on adjusted.
P.S. If you plan on just having it on the ground instead of hanging it because you live in an apartment you might want to reconsider i can’t go all out with my training because i have to readjust it every time. I still don’t regret buying it though great workout whenever it doesn’t tip over frequently =p

This bad is good for a boxer of my size. I am by no means a professional but with lighter bags my punches tend to make the bag swing too much. 100 lbs is just right for me. When you hit the bag its soft but always use gloves because the material will rip the skin right of your knuckles. Also make sure you have enough clearance. Again, i am a white collar boxer and and use the bag for exercise purposes not for real training.

For the price I paid for this heavy bag I expected a mediocre product at best. Man was I wrong. The only problem is the zipper pull at the top of the bag was broken but was very obviously a result of the shipping, I’ve come to expect little things like this to happen when having large items like this shipped. Anyway this bag is great. I’ve been literally beating the hell out of this thing and it still looks brand new. No settling or anything. If the price doesn’t change on this bag I would say everyone should get one, if only as a stress reliever, you will not regret it. I couldn’t be happier. I feel like I was shipped the wrong product because there’s no way I got this product at this price. Seriously, intense. I only gave it 5 stars because 10 wasn’t an option! ha ha. My advice. BUY IT NOW! before they jack up the price. I paid $99

i use this punching bag 30 minutes or a hour 4 times a week and it can take all of the damage i give it and im a pretty big guy im 240 pounds so if it can take the damage i give to it then i would say its a good bag even tho it goes flying when i hit it that dont bother me so a must to buy this punching bag if you are looking for the best buy this one!!!

Bottom line – I’m very happy with this bag. It looks more durable than similarly priced bags at my local sporting goods store.
I bought this bag to augment my P90X DVD workout. One of the P90X DVDs, (Kenpo), has a punching series. I figured hitting a bag would be more of a workout than shadow boxing – it is!! Point is, I’m not a boxer and I don’t train like one. I hit this bag for about 30 min once every couple weeks. At this rate, I think the bag will outlast me. The C3 Foam wrapping really appears to add durability to the bag.
It’s not soft. I started hitting the bag with some 4oz “fighting/wrestling” gloves. I quickly switched to 8 oz gloves, but I was still bruising my knuckles. I finally moved up to 16oz Everlast Elite Protex2 gloves. I found it uncomfortable to hit the bag full force with anything less than the 16oz padded glove.
I used some plate weights, (70lbs), and a bungee cord to make an anchor. The bag does have a tendency to move around. I too have a low ceiling in my basement. I ended up hanging the bag from 5/8″ dia. threaded rod placed between some bridging I added between the exposed floor joists in my basement ceiling. Now throwing a punch straight out, I hit the bag I few inches above its center.

Round 1: the first time this shipped to me, i wrestled this out of the box, down to the basement and was ready to hang it, but some of the stitching was popped at the top of the bag. Big disappointment – looked minor, but i just knew that was bad for a 100lb bag i planned to beat up. I was not looking forward to the return process, but my reason was accepted immediately, the old one was picked up the next day, and i had a replacement bag on my porch the day after that – THANKS!
Round 2: As far as the bag its self, the new one is holding up well. So far not too much sagging and it is sturdy and takes its beating quietly. The one thing i notice is that the foam “collar” doesnt seem any softer to hit than the main body of the bag at all. Its also a bit annoying that there is a seam on one side of it – but hitting the seam if it spins doesnt seem to be a big deal through wraps and gloves. The bigger issue with the foam collar for me is that (unlike the seam), the upper boundary (and above) of the foam is a place you cant hit. that takes a few inches of working space down off the top) With my basement ceiling height, using one of those hangers that goes up between the joists, and removing all extraneous links, it means i cant hit as high up as i would sometimes like, so that is a definitely a consideration to take into account when looking at this bag.

This is perhaps the best deal around on a heavy bag. With Prime I had this shipped for $69 which is far less than what others were asking used in the local popular paper. Now keep in mind that a heavy bag is not for everyone. Use some common sense and not your ego when deciding on which bag to buy. This might be a bit much for some.
For mounting in my workout room, I reinforced a few joists in the attic and ran high grade bolts/nuts/washers through a heavy duty chain suspending it from the ceiling below. The mount is as solid as can be, no worries.
Using 14oz gloves (compromise) I get a really good 15-20 minute workout every other day. I only use it for my cardio days along with other heart pumping stunts. Wrap your hands properly is key here and as always you can view videos online on how to do so without injury.
After owning this a few months with many punches I have to say that there is now wear, loose or hard spots, etc. It is as solid as it was on day one. Again keeping in mind I am not Rocky or training for any fights (I hope).
For the price, your not going to beat this deal, just ensure it is what you are looking for else you may feel like a bag.
