I typically workout in the morning because I am a night shift worker. I ordered the Pure BCAA capsules and took it before and after a great heavy leg day. Went to work that night and by mid-shift, around 12-1am, I usually start to feel the aches and pains of going beast mode in the morning. The night that I first took these I had a little soreness, but was far less than I usually do! I was able to walk normal, get up from my chair, sit down, bend over, etc and I thought “why am I not sore??” Then I remembered I took the BCAA. I didn’t change anything else from my usual routine or diet, except for the BCAA. I monitored the effects for the next few workouts on upper body and again on lower body, and consistently felt recovery time was shortened. Definitely part of my routine now. I wish these came in 1000mg capsules so I wouldn’t have to take so many, but its worth it and I don’t want to have to drink the powder. Plus, I got some free books which was nice of them 🙂 BulkSupplements are my go to for supplements for sure!

I tried the powder first, exact same brand. But got tired of constantly mixing and (ugh) the grittiness and flavor. Any powder that claims you can’t taste it is lying. Sorry.
So pills is my preferred way of taking my supplements. However, read the label carefully. You get a LOT lower does via the pills. I would need to take 12 pills to get the same dose as the powdered form. Nope.
I take 4. 2 before and 2 after my workouts and I have found, surprisingly that this works just fine. I can feel the results (as opposed to taking nothing). I will continue to buy these.

I thought this would be a handier way to get my BCAAs — until I got the package and ran the numbers. I have no problem with the formulation or its results, but the amounts stated are based on a 3-capsule dose. In order to get the recommended, clinically tested 3.5 grams of leucine per day, I need to take a whopping 15 capsules per day — either a handful at a time, or 1 every waking hour. It’s just not convenient. I will be switching to a different dosage form.

BulkSupplements Pure BCAA 2:1:1 gets a five-star rating because BulkSupplements prepare all their supplements in a registered cGMP manufacturing and distribution facility, and the price is very fair. Moreover, all of their supplement are tested in their in-house lab before distribution to ensure that we as the consumer, are getting exactly what we paid for, and the product is safe. The BCAAs arrived in a resealable bag which reseals fairly easily. However, I would prefer if the bag resealed utilizing something similar to a Ziploc bag plastic slider; but that is just me being picky. All the pills were intact and sized so they could be swallowed without any difficulty. It’s hard to rate the BCAAs specifically, as they are not anything that you can feel working like other supplements such as creatine or beta alanine. However, BCAAs are amino acids that help contribute to the overall nutrition needs of training athletes.

I’m training for a marathon this fall and bought this on Prime Day to aid in my training. While it claims to help with recovery, I can’t say for certain if that it’s true. I take two after I run and while my legs have been feeling great (no pain or real fatigue), it could be amino acids or it could be the fact that I’ve lost 10 lbs since training started 3 months ago and I’m carrying less of a load. Perhaps it’s a combination of both. Either way, they’re easy to swallow and have no flavor.

WAAAAAY back in my 20’s I was a competitive bodybuilder. This was in the 90’s and I was a broke college student, so when I bought amino acid supplements (or any supplements, for that matter) I really wasn’t sure of the purity or if they did anything at all. A couple months ago I got engaged and my fiancé encouraged us to “get fit” for the wedding in September. I’m in reasonable shape, but I wanted to get back into a body building routine/lifting for aesthetics (as opposed to cross training for another sport) and make the best of it. Part of this endeavor was to look at supplementation.
I am a HUGE skeptic of supplements in general (with the exception of creatine, which I also bought from Bulk Supplements) and I have to say, that *I think* these are helping. I took them today before my workout and I felt a completely killer pump – for a 42 yr. old BMX rider, this was pretty cool. I feel I recover much quicker and I can lift much heavier. For example – I haven’t rep’d sets of 225lbs on bench for a LONG time, and now I can!
So… whatever it is I’m doing with the supplement seems to be working – and that, for me, makes this a good purchase. Also, the price obliterates the competition, and that makes this a really good value for the money.

I recently came off of surgery and had to sit out a month before being able to get back in the gym. I wanted to make sure then that once I got the green light to workout again that I was taking supps that were not only of the best quality but also the best value. I came across the treasure trove that is Lab Door and so deciding on these BCAAs was an easy choice. It’s somewhat tough to quantify or put a value on the quality of the BCAAs alone because I was taking them in conjunction with different proteins but I was quickly back to my previous strength and then some in a quick amount of time… about 3 weeks or so. I honestly don’t know of another supplement, whether made by BulkSupplements or not, that is at the top of the list for Lab Door in both quality in value like their BCAAs are.
