The outer layer is squishy and the inside is firm and easy to grip. I have mine next to my bed and use them most nights whilst I watch tv before sleeping. I also hold them whilst squatting. Even though they’re just 2.2 lbs each, I feel like they’ve made a difference over the past few weeks and I like using them- it’s only a minor change so far but progress is progress, plus it’s still better than using no weights at all!

The kettle bell and dumbbell still work but just be aware this is for 1 dumbbell and not a set.
Right out of the box, the first thing I did was try to assemble the barbel and I the connecting long rod x2 and short rods x2 are missing.

These are excellent for improving some strength in hands and wrists, as advised by my physiotherapist. They have a soft grippy texture and nice rounded surfaces so dropping one reduce the chance of damaging floors or people.
For serious fitness fanatics, these would be too light but they are helping me to get back control for sword practice after some major spinal problems.
ℹ️ In the 18th Century, dumbbells were very different to modern ones. They were much more like the apparatus for ringing church bells except there were weights instead of bell, thus they were dumb (or silent) bells.

Having had a series of wrist and hand injuries, I’m now doing physio to recover strength. The hospital consultant (yes really) advised me to get some light-weight dumb-bells to use for wrist and arm exercises and these ones really are superb!
They fit nicely in the hand and are comfortable to grip and are well balanced. The soft silicone coating and slight flexibility add to the comfort. The soft ‘padding’ means that if you drop them, they (and hopefully you) are less likely to be damaged. The ends of the weights are marked with their weight.
These are much easier and better to use than the small bottles of water that I was previously using!

worked well at first but it quickly jammed on me and now I can’t switch the weight setting. can’t use it anymore basically. very disappointing.

I’m really happy with this dumbbell. First, it’s cheaper compared to others and heavier than most. It has a lot of weight adjustability with increments. It’s easy to use. Quality is great. The handle has good grip. The only thing I don’t like about this is sometimes, the red thing on top is kinda big and may interfere with your curls and other lifts. Still a nice thing to have at the home gym though.

I like this set as they feel nice and soft and fit my had perfectly.
The colours is nice and vibrant and it’s really easy to exercise with them.
One thing I would say that they mark easier than normal dumbbells so if you don’t look after them properly they will end up looking rough very quickly.

I recently started a small home gym and wanted to maximize space while being able to do the most with minimal equipment. I already had two adjustable dumbbells and an adjustable bench, but I felt I was missing a barbell. After researching adjustable barbells, I finally decided on this one.
After using it for a couple of weeks, I have to say this is exactly what I was looking for! Assembly was simple, and docking/changing the weights couldn’t be easier. It’s comfortable in the hand and feels very sturdy. If you plan on buying this and switching between the three modes often, I’d probably advise against that since the barbell mode involves screws that you won’t want to mess with mid-workout. As it stands now, I’ll keep this in Barbell mode, and if I want a kettlebell or more dumbbells, I’ll just purchase this again.
