They do not work when trying to adjust the weights. I can only use the 3 lb weight. JUNK…!!!

The weights are good. But I originally thought they were broken because they weren’t all facing in the correct direction so i could only get ut to 16 pounds. I had to reorganize the weights to face in the correct directions. Tip is to set it on 3 pound to remove the hande. Press the bottom silver button to click out the gears to see which way the arched gear faces when you turn it and then match the weights up in that direction (there are correlating notches on the weights). It’s like the manufacturer just threw the weights in the box and skipped that step. It’s not rocket science to correct but some people might end up returning if they think it’s broken.

I’ve decided to give this dumbbell a try as I liked what was on the description of this product. There are a few others that are more expensive, but I’m glad I chose this one. The quality is pretty solid, and the handling is also pretty easy. The alteration feature allowing you to change the weight is a game changer. Thinking about getting another one soon.

The weights use plastic joinders that are weak and flex with every movement. Used for a single 30 minute trial work out then the next day one of the bars broke on the second set. When seated in the cradle the weight anchors have flexed so the weights can’t line up (you can see in photo the lead disk is shifted to the left) far enough so you can no longer adjust any weights. there is about a .33 to .5 inch horizontal shift or flex in the weight anchor mechanism from plastic fatigue.
C. Higgins –
Cannot get product to work right. The dial works on one side but not the other. The design with the tab on bottom just doesn’t work. Terrible to find this out, as this was a Christmas Present. Should have just gone with the Bowflex ones.

Great product. Almost sent them back but my husband was determined. It was getting stuck and not sliding up and switching. The plates all need to the aligned the same way. The whole needs to be placed so it goes in. lol If that makes sense.
