Adidas Essential Training Shorts don’t have to bet worn just for working out. It’s made with 100% recycled polyester. Pique fabric isn’t a smooth as any tricot mesh, which is my favorite or even as cotton blend polyester or other 100% polyester fabrics used in athletic clothing like used compression clothing that is smooth.
Pique is fabric with thatcis highly soft but not with any silkyness. Where Pique is best at is the breathability because so when held to a light it’s see thru. However it not the same as mesh fabrics. Think of it a a heavy fabric to the tricot liner in mesh shorts. These shorts can be worn and are just as comfortable to any athletics shorts for any casual wear. On Adidas website it’s all about wearing these shorts for a workout. However they can be worn just for any indoor or outdoor occasion.
I bought red with black stripes. There are 3 other colors I want to buy in these shorts. When available in size and color Adidas does sell other fabrics so if Pique fabric isn’t favorite adidas make a couple of other types of fabrics.
I like the length and over all fit and is very comparable in with mesh and normal size leg openings. I have Russel Athletics Dri Power Cotton Blend and Mesh Shorts and Athletic Works Mesh Shorts so with Pique it gives me just another fabric option even if doesn’t have the highest smoothest to mesh.
I have 2 things to mention on the style. With Adidas Essential shorts the BOS Logo on leg is a nice touch and doesn’t over do it. It’s great having zip pockets. All of my althetic shorts have small pockets and to have zipper pockets is great for not having to worry about not loosing stuff because of small short pockets.

I have repeatedly order these during my sons highschool sports seasons and for general use and they are made well and stand up to abuse. They have zippered pockets which is very handy. They seem to fit well and he likes them very much and wears most of the different colors for different situations. The black shorts mostly due to his school colors and match with uniform tops well. They go on sale from time to time which is good.

Look and feel nice. I bought them for my walks around the neighborhood. I like the zip up pocket, as I can put my house key in there and zip it. No worry about key falling out when I jog too at times. And these shorts are clearly genuine Adidas

Adidas Shorts have been a staple in my husband Jim’s wardrobe for all the 25 years we’ve been married. Just purchased 6 new pairs to replenish pairs that were very old and getting worn out.
Once again, these Adidas shorts exceed our expectations! Perfect for everyday wear. Durable construction with sturdy seaming. Very comfortable to wear, and just the right casual length. The side pockets now include zippers; his old Adidas shorts did not. This is a very nice upgrade in design, as Jim uses the pockets a lot. Now he doesn’t have to be concerned about anything falling out.
These shorts launder beautifully in cold water wash. A great value at the current price, too.
