  1. Deal Lover

This is 11.8 inches long so it is a smaller size. It is medium density so it is not quite a firm as I would use for the upper back. It is lightweight and good for exercises and stretching. It is not as sturdy as those reinforced by hard plastic. Overall, decent for its intended purposes.

This is relatively soft for a foam roller. It has some give if you push into it with a finger. It’s definitely not super soft like a cushion or anything, just softer than your typical foam roller. I think I can find some uses for this, just be aware that this is a different material/feel than your typical foam roller.
Quality-wise this seems fine to me. Given the softness of the foam, this is probably more prone to wear than the firmer foam rollers.

First, this isn’t quite 12” long by 4” diameter. (Also, the dimensions in the listing say 12x4x4, but as of this review – late December 2024 – the third pic from the listing shows it 12” long by 3” diameter, which is definitely incorrect.)

Mine is about 11-3/4” long, with a diameter of 3-3/4” to 3-7/8” (it’s actually ever-so-slightly ovular; if you look at the photo I uploaded of it standing on end – taken straight down and level – you’ll see it’s slightly “wider” than “tall,” but it still rolls just fine). The slight shortcomings in dimensions, as well as the slightly not-quite-perfectly round circumference are pretty negligible in my opinion, but if it’s important to you, there you have it!

Next, while I don’t have a way to test its PSI-related strength, I’ve used many foam rollers, and this feels less dense than others I’ve used. It’s not “squishy” by any means, but it does seem to have more give to it; I’d call it “medium” or maybe “medium-high” density.

It doesn’t have any weird odors or anything like that, so that’s a plus. I find that the biggest letdown is that its “nubs” are really quite flat. It’ll keep it from being slick if it gets wet from sweat or water, but other than making it easier to handle, these flat little discs on it aren’t raised enough for me to feel they’re doing any “targeted” trigger-point work. The roller itself is fine for just rolling your legs/glutes/etc. after a workout, but it certainly seems like a more “low-budget” item.

The color is a nice sky blue, not as lavender as it appears in the photo (of course, every monitor is different).

It’s OK, but nothing to fanboy about. Thanks for reading; I hope that my review helps you out!

  4. VyingForVine

It’s a small but firm foam roller. It is about the same length as my back. I like that this roller is fully made of foam. It has good resistance but is more gentle on my body than other rollers. Personally, that’s a good thing! There are raised circles throughout. The circles are flat and have a very low profile. The circles look a bit more worn after each use. It is still brand new and already showing wear and tear on the surface. I mostly use foam rollers to crack my back and stretch my neck. This foam roller works perfectly well for that purpose. My back does not hurt after rolling around on it. So it fits my needs just fine.

This massage roller is the perfect size for me. I saw that others say it’s too small or too soft but I think it’s quite firm in my opinion. It’s made of very dense foam and doesn’t bend under the weight of any of my body parts. It’s nearly 12″ long and nearly 4″ wide—the exact right size for my neck which is what I’ll be using it for. If you are a larger-than-average-sized person or want a large roller, then this isn’t the one for you. But if you’re average-size and need a basic, firm roller, then this is a great one to choose.

This foam roller won’t be replacing my full size foam roller. It’s quite small and on the softer side This may be good for beginners or for anyone with tender muscles who needs something gentler. Because of it’s small size and light weight it would be good for travel. This could easily fit in carry on luggage, unlike larger rollers. I’ve also found that this is the perfect size and firmness for stretching my neck.

If you want a very small roller that’s not too hard on the muscles, then this is for you. If you want something mostly for using on the back or you need something very firm, you may want to keep looking.

  7. Deal Lover

This foam roller is quite small, it is only 12″ long. (….Actually, they rounded up with their measurements, it is smaller than stated: it is less than 12″ long, and less than 4″ diameter…. So it is smaller than stated for sure.) It is made of a softish but firm foam, very lightweight. I love to roll my back out with foam rollers daily, this one however, doesn’t seem the best for back rolling, it is too short in length, and too close to the ground (small diameter) and when you roll on it, it seems to chunk along a bit. (not a smooth roll.) The material isn’t ideal either for back rolling it seemed to me, too giving and the texture doesn’t do much for a back. What I did like this roller for, was for placing under my neck when I lay on the floor. It was a bit too tall actually to be the perfect support for my neck, but the foam was very comfortable for that use, and it does allow me to stretch my neck a bit. I’m not sure I would get this again, since it doesn’t meet my back needs at all, but actually I do see how it might be very useful for rolling out sore muscles. The durability of this item however does seem questionable.

  8. Caffeinated ESTP

I am admittedly new at foam rolling, but I love the benefits! this roller is compact enough to be easily stored, while also long and wide enough to get the job done well. It is lightweight and easy to move around, and studded with bumps that keep it from slipping around. It really helps in muscle recovery and with soreness! I use it after every run.
