Size was smaller than expected. No front protection. Did not work for my purpose. Great graphics.

We ordered two these, one large and one small because I have tow boys 10 and 6 but I noticed the large fix both my boys head so I sent the small on back. It’s safe to say they run small so order larger

Discussions on what constitutes ‘good headgear’ can get really involved b/c it’s main purpose is to protect your brain. At the same time, if it impedes your ability to not get hit, no matter how great the padding is it can be a detriment. If it doesn’t fit comfortable it can be very irritating and distracting And if it slips around easily and moves a lot, that’s a distraction that can really cause a lot of problems.
Overall the material is good, not great but good. It’s soft enough to absorb a lot of impact but not stiff enough that it becomes a problem if you’re hit hard.
The fit is good, again not great but good. You can adjust it three different ways and get it to fit well enough that it stays put. For my particular head the top rides a little low and I have to adjust it upward to not impede my vision but this is not a big deal and every headset has some area where it impedes things if it’s not adjusted.
The material it’s made of is faux leather, its comfortable enough that it isn’t distracting, its not slippery so even if you’re sweating heavily under it, it won’t slide much as long as you’ve adjusted it correctly.
Impact wise, most strikes , unless they’re landed really solid, will be mostly absorbed and it’ll blunt a lot of the impact. At the same time, this totally depends on how hard the strike was thrown, no headgear is going to be great if you’re taking really hard strikes.
All in all it’s a pretty good. I think it might have some long term durability issues if you used it every day, but I suspect even with heavy use you’ll get a good 1/2 year to a year or more and if you aren’t training heavily, it’ll last a while.

Wasn’t as padded as expected.

Comfortable fit, holds well, good padding protection for the head, very much worth it.
