This arrived and was opened but I had not had the chance to use it. The day I went to use it (about 10 days after it was opened) it was broken. My kids told me that one of the younger children had dropped it and now it doesn’t pick up the weights.
I was pretty frustrated as I hadn’t even gotten the chance to use it yet. However, I have a very smart and mechanical daughter and husband who figured out how to repair it an it’s as good as new.
It is convenient because it is compact and doesn’t take up a whole wall to have a 40 pound weight. Other than the face it broke so easily, it’s been a nice addition to the work out.

I like this a lot, it really helped me step up my home gym game. At first, I didn’t love how it was a single dumbbell, but I did realize it helped me to concentrate on just 1 arm at a time and to strengthen specific areas of weakness to stay in balance. Do note, this is not very comfortable or stable to hold at any places other than the grip in the middle, it is generally doable though. I personally feel like the weight switching mechanism is solid and secure and quick and easy.

This adjustable dumbbell has an excellent grip that feels good on my hands. It’s easy to use and the dumbbell adjusts smoothly when switching weights. It feels durable and sits well in its base. The weights are a bit odd, but that’s not a big deal. You don’t have your standard 5 pound increments, but that doesn’t bother me. I love how it feels and an adjustable dumbbell makes a big difference when you are short on space. I use this in my home gym, and it saves a lot of space by having many different weights available in one dumbbell. This is a great addition to anyone’s home gym or home workout routine!

I love the versatility of this dumbbell. It is simple to set the weight that you’d like, and had a nice tray that holds the weights that aren’t used after you select what you will be using. I also love the range of weights that are included.

I absolutely love the Body Sport 3LB-40LB Single Adjustable Dumbbell! This is a game-changer for my home workout routine. The ability to adjust the weight from 3lbs to 40lbs means I don’t need multiple dumbbells cluttering up my space – this one handles it all. I got it to replace one from a set that I broke and it has taken its place nicely.

Great adjustable dumbbell for any minimalist home gym. Having the ability to easily set from 3lbs all the way to 40lbs makes it ideal for the entire family – with no need for stacks of weight plates or dumbbell racks to clutter up your room. Very well built and should easily last a lifetime of use even if abused. Quite comfortable to hold even for extended workouts. This is the perfect addition to our family’s various “color coded” dumbbell collection and has become my son’s preferred go-to for his bicep curls and deadlifts. He now wants me to pick up another one so he can use this as a matching set for presses, etc. I can not say I blame him for being impressed by these. My wife even loves to use it. If they are happy – I am happy. Highly recommended.

True to its weight this dumbell will get you that pump your looking for. Easy to switch weight the grip fills good in your hands. And it had a pretty solid base plate. Good price point for a very well made piece of equipment.
