Just feels really cheap. I expected a little better.

I have jumped rope most of my life and love it as a warm-up exercise. When offered this jump rope to try, I thought it would be better than the one I have used since college (nearly 20 years ago). I was very wrong. The rope is not near stiff enough to follow the rotation the same as my hands so it lags taking off my rhythm and making me have to go slower than I would normally go. The grips are nice and the length is good but the way it catches the wind is not good. I do not recommend this jump rope unless you are not intending to use it for speed.

These are ok jump ropes for kids, but for adults using this to exercise, it doesn’t feel good. It’s not weighted enough to use very well. The rope is kind of flimsy and too light. The handles are easy to grip but gets slippery when you start sweating. Other than as a toy for kids, it’s not really a product I would recommend for adults.

I like my jumping rope, it is a good size and material.

This is a favorite of a physical fitness nut – my oldest grandson. Jumping rope is not just for little girls with curls anymore! This jump rope is industrial strength and built to last through heavy use. Amazing the benefits – and that they are gained by having fun!

    Not too long just right

This is an excellent speed rope for cardio almost anywhere. I travel monthly and I have even encouraged my customers to use a jump rope for some of our late night work sessions after we’ve eaten less than ideal food for lunch and dinner.

The grip and weight is ideal and the rotation is fine.

The best thing of a jump rope, compact, lightweight and fits in any bag, and of course use it anytime, anywhere. Only 2 minutes of jumping rope really gets your heart pumping.

To adjust this one, pull the top off the handle, pull the rope through, such that you can tie a knot where you want the rope to come out of the handle, tie said know, push the rope back into the handle an put the top back on. It had no instructions for this, though it was pretty obvious. Quite a bit of rope can fit into the handle, and at need, you can use both handles, or just cut the rope. Straight out of the box, it’s long enough for two kids to turn while another jumps in. Or get two for double dutch.

It turns easily and evenly, and rotates well in the handle. I can get a scary amount of speed from it (and then fail to actually jump that fast and end up standing on it, but that’s user error). It’s sturdy enough my cats have failed to damage it, despite great determination. I might buy another for them, to keep them out of trouble.

This has earned a permanent home in my gym bag.

The Franklin Sports Jump Rope provides an easy way to add variety to your workout routine. The length works fine for my wife and me (5’9, 5’11 respectively). There were no instructions on how to change the rope length, but it may be adjustable. The grips, while comfortable for adult hands, are smooth plastic without really any anti-slip texture. The rope does turn over easily where it connects to the handles, but the rope itself feels slow. The plastic guard is well-placed to protect for wear against hard surfaces and takes a beating. A good basic rope.
